A Lovely Way to Remind Us All to REUSE  5 Star Rating - World class

The East Bay Depot For Creative Re USe is one of the more centrally placed booths at our local, Berkeley, fourth of July celebration. This booth is always filled with children and adults all caught up in the spirit making art from items others have thrown away. And its Free, Bravo!

Anything and Everything  4 Star Rating - Very good

The East Bay Depot For Creative Re Use is has everything crafty and creative you'd need - but don't expect sterile packets of beads or uniform bottles of glue. The key word in its name is REUSE - so everything has been donated or acquired for REUSE - meaning everything's used and, best of all, free. Looking for an extra knitting needle? They have quite a collection of onsies!

PROS: Fun creative stuff to use.
CONS: Dusty.

A treasure Hunt  4 Star Rating - Very good

I have never walked out of this place without bags of goodies. The prices are fair, most of the time. They have "flex" pricing, so unfortunately they are not always consistent. For the most part, they are always inexpensive so it isn't that much of an issue.
Products are hit and miss like most junk tresure finds, but I am sure there is something for everyone if you are willing to look.

Fantastic Junk Store  5 Star Rating - World class

The EBRDCR is one of the most fascinating stores I have ever been too. The selection is eclectic, wierd, and sometimes gross but it is all perfect for making bizarre works of art. All of there products are donations from businesses and private parties so their prices are very cheap. They are perfect if you don't mind digging through a bin to find just the right quilting square or greeting card (which they sell by the stack) or vinyl lettering.

PROS: cheap!, fun store, cool stuff
CONS: selection varies widely

Scavengers Prey Here  5 Star Rating - World class

The East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse is probably the cheapest place to pick up art supplies--paper, bits of plastic, fabric, and odds and ends--for next to nothing. I once bought a piece of cardboard that was twice my height, and it only cost a few bucks. I have also seen used paint here, stacks of vintage photography magazines, and metallic wallpaper, but I assume the selection varies depending on what has been sold and what people bring in.
