Reviews for Moonlight Rollerway Skating

Ratings_icons Awful and outdated.

this place needs some life breathed into it. live organ music?! pizza thats frozen, the skates aren't sanitary, and all these senior citizens scream at you when you fall down. i went here for a birthday party and they wouldn't even let us bring in the cake. the workers are old, and mean. i could go on and on about the place. DON"T GO HERE. it smells like butt as well as being sweltering hott.

I wish we had more choices for roller rinks in LA. It's sad that we have two choices, at best, including Skateland in Northridge. I suppose the rinks that do exist don't have to try very hard since they really don't have any competition.

Ratings_icons I have a great idea!

Nick A.

How about, when we submit a review of a business which we have visited, we construct complete sentences with properly used words, spelling, punctuation, and an absence of run-on's?
Why not also abstain from perpetuating the blatant racism while we're at it?
Or shall we return to the small minded designation of 'Negroes only' day?
Ah lovely, back to the sweet days of bigotry, hate, and narrow-mindedness!
Folks, let's just do life and keep our spread of negativity out of the equation.
Though I've taken the time to write this scathing retort wherein you may find fault...I found it greatly necessary to point out the lack of credibility a review contains when the writer does not exhibit some grasp of education, intelligence, legibility or embrace of humanity.

Peace, love, and rudimentary writing skills anyone?

Sincerely,

Uptight English 'Teacher' and proponent of the 'right stuff'

I recently visited this roller rink for the first time. It was for a birthday party. The pizza was Gross tasted like frozen pizza out of the freezer. Very small slices. Also the skates were never disinfected by the employees. Gross! This is athletes foot ready to happen. When everyone shares skates.

Ratings_icons This place sucks

This place has an awful atmosphere. People here make it their business to tell you what to do. They fuss if you are going to slow. They are snotty white people. It is like a clan meeting.

Ratings_icons Moonlight Rexing Days

Benny D.

Moonlight Rollerway has not changed at all, I skated with the Ramblin' Rexers when we had all the rexing clubs. We now have got a list and web site on rexing in the old days.

We now have contacted with all the old rexers and are planning a reunion. Any rexers feel free to join our group and renew old friendships

PROS: Best Roller Rink around and Dominic owner and organist is the best
CONS: No Cons about this rink

Wow, it has been ages since I've been to this roller rink, but I've had fond memories of it to this day. This place was very popular for me and my friends, and kids in general, to have birthday parties at. Everyone had fun rollerskating around really fast and sometimes falling down. I remember on birthdays we would always play limbo on rollers skates and I could never win. An awesome experience though, would like to go there again.

Ratings_icons Lets go roller skating

Moonlight Roller Rink has been around forever, it seems. Although it is a lot of fun, they need to make some upgrades, since there is no other local roller rink. Its fairly cheap to skate, cheaper if you bring your own skates, though. There are two main areas to watch other skaters, but space is limited. They have food but it can get pricey, so bring extra money. The music is good, you can have birthday parties, and the rink games are a lot of fun. There are lockers for your personables, but they tend to break or get jammed A LOT! There are strict guidelines and lots of employees, close by, to see that they are enforced, which is a great thing for kids! Safety is definately number one at Moonlight Rink. They have devoted different days and hours to adults and kids, and I have found that sometimes 3 hours in the afternoon is just not enough for my kids, they'd stay longer if the hours were permitted. This place is a great tradition in my family, they just need a few minor adjustments to stay current.

PROS: Close-by, friendly, fun, unique
CONS: Hours, space, consession prices

This is arguably the most historic roller skating rink in Los Angeles. Dominic plays live organ music weekly while people skate, which is pretty cool. They also have roller skating classes for kids. Though I have yet to do so, I think this would be a great place to take a date and relive the childhood memories of skating parties (didn't everyone have those in elementary school??)

Wednesday night is gay skating night, so attend or avoid as your lifestyle leads you.
