I agree. The customer service at the front desk is rude, the machines are constantly out of order and take a really long time to get repaired, the upstairs bathroom is CONSTANTLY out of order and the toilet doesn't flush. The place is filthy too

Doesn't live up to the hype. The place is filthy and NOT worth their high price. In Atascadero the grout in the women's shower is supposed to be light grey in color. It's slimey, black and growing 3" up the walls! The drain has a slimey patina instead of polished brass. They supply terry cloth towels for use in spraying and wiping down Nautilas equipment, not paper towels. Those scarey, nasty towels are spreading more germs than they're eliminating! On mid summer days they open the 3rd floor windows in the weight room and turn the A/C off or far too low then brag that they're being green. At sign up it's all about how comfortable the environment is kept for working out. No one re-racks the really big single weights. Staff wouldn't help me get them off the machine, but was happy to whine about the clients. The cardio room has equipment literally less than a foot apart! Weekend hours are too short. Management is defensive, dodges, bobs and weaves but doesn't get 'er done! Gen. Mngr. is excuse oriented, not resolution focused. Failed!! Buy your own equipment and convert your garage then take up a sport, bike, walk w/friends...anything is better than KCF.

I was not impressed with this gym at all. The equipment was decent but the classes (which was a big part of why I wanted to join), were a hassle to attend. For the more popular classes you would have to make a reservation which was hard for me to commit to something like that, because I have an unpredictable schedule. I would prefer to show up if I was able to make that class and not have to worry about saving a spot, or having to call and unreserve if I couldn't make it. The same thing goes for their child care. I never did leave my kids in the childcare because I didn't like the fact that there were hardly ever the same people in there watching your kids and they weren't required to be CPR certified and they were only working there for gym memberships not as if it were a real job. And you also had to make reservations for childcare as well, big hassle in my opinion. And the membership prices were outrageous!
