I had a funny experience with Dr. Wong. She is a great optometrist. Latest techniques; updated equipment; and she has a great manner as a doctor. She makes you feel like she is self-assured and expert and that you are in good hands. So I had no problems with my exam.

It's when we came to the buying glasses part of the transaction. I think she smooth-talked me into getting glasses that were more expensive than I would have otherwise gotten. Part of that is that it is a very stylish place and a lot of the frames are expensive ($250 and up). And part of it is that the experience was just so smooth. It wasn't until I was driving home that I thought, "Did I really pay $300 for glasses?"

That said, if you want a good experience and you want fashion-forward glasses, Dr. Wong is a great person to see.

when i lived out in west LA, dr. wong was my eye doctor. she was very friendly and professional. her eye examinations were very thorough and she fitted my perfectly for my contacts. the only minor complaint i had was that i had to buy my contacts through her -- might have been an insurance thing -- but i seem to run into this alot with eye doctors. nonetheless, dr. wong is an excellent choice if you're looking for an eye doctor.
