I love this place. It has a great location and always a variety of kinds of pizza. They also serve sandwiches, salads, and calzones. A bargain, great thin crust, and right outside the metro station.

Located in/on Castro, the festive energy and vibe on the streets (St. Paddy's day or otherwise) carries over into the little LITTLE restaurant. Friendly banter, casual conversations, laughs, flirty chatter. Stopping in here is just as fun as it is functional... The seats in the windows must be THE best vantage point for an ever-entertaining parade for people-watching (no, IN, not near, IN the windows, you'll see. HA!)
Service-wise, the guy (owner?) running the register is friendly and light-hearted. Quick to offer substitutions or price-break when the pesto slice X craved for was sold out.
They have a pretty extensive menu and toppings... some definite "must try" combinations, in my book ( www.marcellospizzasf.com )
The slice. Crispy, thin-crusted, foldable-holdable slices, potent garlicky goodness, generously smattered with chopped sun-dried tomato over spinach... Mmmmm, late night "dance till you drop" food ( but bring gum)
Most definitely going back there again!
