I'm a meat eater, but this place still tastes great-- I love the fried eggplant and the "chicken" dishes here.

Excellent food and service. The athmosphere is also very cozy and family friendly. Our kids love the tasty vegan dishes they prepare.

I just went to this place a few nights ago and have been there on several occasions. I for one like to eat meat but this place has some good stuff. The only thing I don't like is the fact that I don't understand why they have faux meat. Vegetarians pride themselves on being vegetarians so why eat fake meat? Doesn't that go against the whole concept? Anyways the decor isn't that pleasant but I do highly recommend my favorite dish there which is the Eggplant with Basil.

Excellent and unique vegetarian cuisine. I always bring friends to Happy Family for (at least) "House Chicken" and "Buddha's Feast." I also recommend the eggplant dishes. Dine with five or more friends so you can all share the different dishes and explore the entire menu.
However, I find a few dishes oily and heavy; bear in mind my Western palate and that I find much Chinese food to be heavy...

Solid, all you can eat veggie food. I'm a meat eater and I still pig out here every single time.

Great vegan Chinese food (though a few of the "seafood" items are supposedly not vegan). All-you-can-eat nights are great - you can try a variety of dishes for one low price. The food is fairly oily and heavy but tastes great. Highly recommended! (And, to answer jennifer h., some people are vegetarians for health or environmental reasons but they still miss the taste of meat so it is good to have meat substitutes so that they can stay vegetarians.)

Great for vegetarians. Haven't been in a while, but last time I was there, they had one price per person. You order a dish...finish it and order more of another dish, until you're completely full and satisfied. I love the orange chicken...probably because it tastes like you're really eating chicken.

I am a super meat eater (Atkins seemed like heaven to me), but I am now a convert - Vegan food is good! The "chicken" and the "fish" actually somehow ends up tasting like real chicken and real fish, but better!
