Kip's Cafe

I've been going to Kips for years, the food is great and so is the service. Unfortunatly they are closing, owner Wing Tam plans to reopen in one year somewhere else, maybe closer to you. So if you want to have your last taste of kips you better be fast they are closing this month!!

I love the food. You can't get better Chinese anywhere in the East County. However, I once spent four hours waiting for chow mein to be delivered. Not exaggerating. Not even so much as an apology was offered. And yes, they do charge for delivery.

The Chinese and Japanese food selections are plentiful and there isn't a single menu choice that isn't good. My wife is a picky eater but still enjoys Kips. The Sushi selections are plentiful and good. I will often bring locals here just to give them a surprise. Kips has never let me down.

The parking lot is the PITS. Kips is located between a bar and a drug store with lots of illegals and other assorted worthless individuals. I wouldn't send my wife here alone at night.

Back in the day when Kips was in a Tiny place on Main Street in El Cajon I was enjoying great food. I still drop in when I am in town. Great food, nothing on the menu I don't like. The new location isn't the best spot, but it is larger and they have a better Sushi selection. Little hole in the wall, but worth the drive to El Cajon!!

I've been going to Kip's for years and years. Even when they moved from Main St. to 2nd street, we followed them for their excellent Chinese food. No where can compare to their fried rice and their delicious chicken dishes. The chef's special is our favorite. It's a little pricey but worth every penny. The location is bad but I just hurry in and hurry out.

I've been coming here for years, and I expect that to continue! It's a very comfortable atmosphere, and excelent food to boot! They have quite a variety on the menu, and it's a good place to bring kids. A +.
