I moved into an apartment about a month ago, nice place except for the fact the elevator has been out of service three times, very little parking if any for company. And they neglected to tell me you have to pay for water, sewerage and trash. Might have been on lease but didn't make it known.
The heat sucks in one of the bedrooms and never gets warm.

I am coming up on the end of my lease and can't help but wish I moved somewhere else. In the 12 months of renting here I have witnessed more cop cars/fires/drug use/parties and experienced more sleepless nights than any prior living situation. Part of this is due to being across from a college, the average age of the residents is estimated between 18-22. I can only compare the nights at Camden to being in a college dorm without security, loud and rowdy kids yelling/drinking/and urinating in public almost each day of the week.

Aesthetically the apartments look great, they take care of the outside of the complex and everything looks amazing at all times. Unfortunately the people that live here and come through nightly for parties makes the living experience quite unpleasant.

Management is very nice and usually take care of any requests promptly. Parking is an absolute nightmare, I highly recommend paying extra if possible for additional spots underground. If you come home past 7-8pm any night during the week finding a spot usually takes 10-15 minutes and you might have to park a couple blocks down. If you park outside expect random dings and scratches on your car, since the demographic is younger you will more than likely have others bumping into your vehicle on accident. (I had 3 experiences at minimum while parked inside the complex).

Pros: Looks great

Cons: Can't ever sleep because of parties every night / poor security / poor parking

When I go into an apartment complex looking to rent, I want to know what the price is in general, not just for the next 48 hours. Unfortunately, the Camden properties give you a 48 hour window to sign a lease at the price they quoted you. Otherwise the price may go up. (It also may go down but that's not what they want you to focus on.)

I hate feeling like I'm in a time crunch when I'm trying to go in on a large purchase. Where you will live for the next year or more is a huge decision, not one that can always be made in 48 hours. I think that this is an awful sales practice.

Pros: Beautiful complex, centrally located in Costa Mesa

Cons: Expensive (or maybe not, depending on when you go and your credit score), not much parking, staff are in "used car sales" mode

I moved out of the Candem apartments three years ago. They sent me up with a huge move out bill... I sent a certified letter requesting reciepts and pictures, they said I left the place filthy after I cleaned for three days. They signed for my letter that requested receipts and pictures, and I never heard from them again.... until yesterday that is... three years later... when I recieved a phone call from a collections agency that I owe Camden Martinique apartments $750 within 16 days or it's going to be showing up on my credit report. Wow.. I sure am glad I lived there. Good luck for you! Make sure you have lots of money saved up when you decide to move out... or in better words... maybe three or four years later when they decide to come after you!

In the last 2 months they have raised the price of laundry, my utility bill went up 60%, and they raised my rent $600. The leasing agents are also not any help.

I live in this apt complex. And I'm pretty satisfied with the place. The rent is average priced for the area and the amenities that you get are beyond my expectations, and better than the surrounding complexes in the area.
It's a large complex with 6 4-story buildings. Total of 700 units. They offer several different floor plans, ranging from 800-1400 sq ft. That's studio spaces, 1 bedrooms and 2 bedrooms.
The parking is underground garage and most units only get 1 or 2 spaces.
The only complaint isthat the guest parking is slim to none.
