My hair was extremely damaged from a different salon and they were able to fix it. Granted it is not cheap even with the coupon but it was WORTH it. I got a haircut and color and a treatment to fix my over processed hair.....I definitely recommend this place and I will continue going there.
If you would like the best haircut you`ve ever had and a perfect manicure, go to Milan's Modern Hair. It`s a fun place to go, too, because you are welcomed and treated like a valued friend. When I first discovered this marvelous salon, I lived in San Jose,so I traveled only about 5 miles. Ten years ago, I moved more than 50 miles away, but the distance hasn`t changed anything. I wouldn`t even consider going elsewhere ... not as long as I am capable of driving. Their prices are fair and reasonable in today`s economy. If you are looking for firstrate stylists and service, you might want to try this salon. I recommend it!
If you like cold and pretentious salons you have many choices in the greater L.A. area. Santa Monica Hair Salon however, is not one of them. I have had the pleasure of getting my hair cut at HDS for more than six years. The salon is staffed by talented professionals committed to customer satisfaction. What I really enjoy about my visits to Milan's Modern Hair is the welcome I receive when I walk through the door. The relaxing atmosphere and attention to detail such as robes to protect your clothing would lead you to believe that you`re in for an expensive visit. Surprisingly, prices are very reasonable and the cost of my haircut is the same today as it was on my first visit. I appreciate the total lack of employee turnover. I can count on a perfect haircut every time. I also do not have to make appointments weeks in advance. If you`re particular about who cuts your hair and prefer a salon with caring people then Milan's Modern Hair is for you.
I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER OF Milan's Modern Hair FOR OVER SIX YEARS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER. I ORIGINALLY WENT TO THEM TO FIX A HORRIBLE MISTAKE MY HAIRDRESSER MADE WITH MY COLOR. NOT ONLY WERE THEY PROFESSIONAL, BUT THEY ARE ALL WARM AND COMPASSIONATE PROFESSIONALS.I HAVE VERY DIFFICULT HAIR, AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN DISSAPOINTED WITH THE WAY MY HAIR LOOKS WHEN I LEAVE. I THINK THIS SALON IS A HIDDEN TREASURE IN San Jose. I HAVE NEVER MET ANYONE WHO DOES COLOR BETTER THAN THE PROFESSIONALS AT THIS SALON. NOT ONLY DO YOU GET GREAT SERVICE, BUT YOU ARE ALWAYS GREETED WITH A WARM HUG. IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO YOUR FAVORITE AUNTS HOUSE TO HAVE YOUR HAIR DONE. THE CLIENTELE DOESN`T CHANGE, NOR DOES THE STAFF!!! I THINK ANYONE WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A BETTER PLACE TO GET YOUR HAIR DONE.
When I opened a business in San Jose 7 years ago, I was on the lookout for a new Hair Salon. I only needed to look three doors down. When you go into Milan's Modern Hair you are treated like a friend. All the stylists, colorists, facialists, and the nail lady are wonderful. They are a full service salon and can fix whatever needs fixing and tell you when its time for a change. Many of my customers comment on my hair and I refer them to Milan's Modern Hair and they are always very happy. I am always amazed at how busy they are and that they have had some customers since they first opened. A very good sign in todays economy. I highly reccomend this salon and wouldn`t think of goin anywhere else!
I had nails, eyebrows and wedding make-up. Everything was excellent. I had a trial make up the week before my wedding and felt a million dollars and then on the day i felt and looked two million dollars! Thanks also from my mother and bridesmaids.
No improvements needed, very happy with the service. The staff are friendly and they be themselves which is great! I will continue to come to your salon!
They have great products to offer too not the generic salon selection (biolage/redken/etc.) but aren't pushy I use this shampoo they have by clean enhanced organics that is super luxurious but all natural. Highly recommend.
AMAZING We have been going to Milan's Modern Hair for many years and now many of our friends go there as well. He does an amazing job and never rushes you through the experience.

I went in for a regular hair cut once and it was a medium quality hair cut. It wasn't too pricey and I was satisfied with the cut. They are at a good location - in the middle of the downtown.
