This is practically the only entertainment in Castro Valley. It is just your typical bowling alley, there is nothing special about it. You usually have to wait on the weekends for a lane.

i used to come here every weekend when i was a child but i was not pleased when i recently visited. There were so many rowdy teenagers and it was a bit distracting.

One of the last bowling alleys around unless you go to Dublin. The building is old but the equipment is ok. One of the last places left in Castro Valley for families to go. A rumor has it that they will close in the near future. Hope it isn't true.

Castro Bowl is in a great location, and they have lots of great specials at night. A few times a week there's unlimited bowling for like $9 along with karaoke, "rock n bowl night", etc.

Pros: Fun

Cons: Heard it can get busy

I used to go with my friends to the Castro Village Bowl for some bowling fun a few years ago. Its conveniently located just a short distance from the freeway and parking is plentiful. The building itself looks kind of old looking but inside is pretty nice. I remember that their prices were really cheap on weekends.

There are very long waits because it really is one of the only things to do in Castro Valley. I went on a friday where they had late bowling and we had to wait 30 minutes for a lane. Pricing isn't bad though. Cheap fun! Food is ok and is usually not too pricey. Great birthday packages also!

I love bowling, and Castro Village Bowl is where my friends and I go because they have the best deals. We usually go during one of those unlimited bowling nights, which often are scheduled several nights of the week. The place has better lighting than the dimly-lit Manor Bowl in San Leandro, and it can get crowded during weekends, so sometimes the wait is like half an hour if you dont reserve your lanes ahead of time by phone. A great place to bowl.

Castro Village Bowl is a mid-sized bowling alley, with decent prices. They offer events such as Rock & Roll Bowling, and unlimited bowling nights. However, the place can get very busy. I've walked in there a number of times, only to find a wait for a lane. Weekends tend to be even busier, because they offer $1.50 bowling on Sunday mornings, and on Friday afternoons.

They offer food from a concession stand, and a full bar in a back room of the building. There are also some arcade games to help kill time while you're waiting for a lane.

I have gone bowling here about 6 times or so and they have always been really busy, A couple of times I was told it was a 45 minute wait. However, when you do get in to bowl, it is a good place to bowl. I like their service and facilities. I just always remember the place being crowded and almost too full.
