Schat's Bakerie's & Cafe

We live in Petaluma and love to take the beautiful ride up to Ukiah and enjoy the wonderful things this bakery offers. It is everything a good bakery should be. Fresh beautiful breads and pastries with a great atmosphere. Second generation family owned. It is so nice to find a place that has our holiday favorites. For example, their Irish Soda Bread this St. Patricks day was amazing!

Schat's is located right across from the courthouse in downtown Ukiah. Their menu cracks me up, sandwiches are named things like "The Verdict", "No Contest", etc. My favorite is "The Appeal". YUM YUM YUM! Parking can be a challenge though!

The coffee is Flying Goat Coffee - which in my opinion is pretty awful, but the pastries and lunches are wonderful. Everything is fresh baked on site and they have a wde selection of lunches for you to choose from. The customer service is awesome and there are two locations in Ukiah. The prices are reasonable.

PROS: Food is wonderful
CONS: Coffee is gross.
