Message from Boll Weaver Yarns

I'm a mother, grandmother, and a former elementary teacher who is incredibly passionate about the textile arts. I learned to knit, crochet, embroider & sew as a child and in my late teens discovered spinning, weaving and dyeing. I've been hooked every since! My children grew up in a studio environment as there wasn't room for both living room furniture, looms and spinning wheels plus all their accompanying equipment.

I've been a member of my local weaving and spinning guild for 30 years. I've taught textile arts for about the same length of time and had a commission spinning business in my twenties. I decided to buy Boll Weaver in 1998 (I quit teaching in the public school system to be a shop owner) because I couldn't live without a local resource for my textile passion.

I design knitting patterns for yarns hand dyed by Chasing Rainbows Dyeworks and also take this line of yarns and my patterns to fiber conferences on the west coast. I am all about textiles, and I love what I do!

More about Boll Weaver Yarns

I bought Boll Weaver in 1998 just as it was about to be closed. I felt very strongly that our community needed this great asset, and personally didn't want to be without its resources. Feeling strongly that education in the textile arts was as important
