Yeah they fired me one week after our manager told us in a meeting that they were not going to lay us off. Daryl Boyd the manager stood right there and lied to alot of us. Atleast my last job had the dignity to tell us and not just call people in one at a time to fire us. I still talk with the guys I made friends with at rfi and they tell me how upper management gets drunk and makes fun of the fired guys. Avoid these people as they do not care about you at all.

I worked at the SJ office for 3 years. There is too much drama in this company because so many people are related. If I could only post some of my old emails online without getting in trouble I would. The way they talk about their employees amongst themselves is as if we are all slaves, expendable and trash. I put my 2 weeks in after they joked about a person they had laid off. He was a friend of mine and has 3 kids to support. He had to work weekends at Home Depot to catch up on bills. Seeing and hearing your upper management mocking and laughing at an old employee makes you sick to your stomach. I wish I could have recorded it. You at RFI all know who you are. Anyhow..for good service try CEI, in Cupertino.

RFI guys tip well I don't mind them at all. They come in for burritos and beer on the ave all the time. Now if RFI would only hire girls to install cameras I would definately join. I was told RFI pays their techs between 20-35 an hour. Now if I only wasnt scared to drive those big vans around downtown. I surely wouldnt want to ride around with some sweaty guy all day either. Any chicks wanna apply with me? Jenn24xo@gmail.com :))

My initial experience with RFI assured me that I had picked a solid vendor to do business with. Things turn bad when the installers showed up to work. Unorganized and clueless to the scope of work we had to have the sales rep return to the site and clarify details. Days turned into weeks for what I feel was a simple camera installation. Each day RFI was sending out new technicians each introducing themselves to me saying that the other guy couldnt make it. This made for alot of disturbance in our office space as the technicians had to go in and find the wires the guys had installed the day before. This happened for a week until all the cables were in their place. The following week I got a whole new set of faces from RFI saying they were here to install the cameras. Ok..Great I thought however they did not plan for a lift to reach the camera heights so they said they could come back thusday of the 2nd week. Thursday came, the life showed up but no RFI. Friday morning I call the rep and asked for status, he said he would talk to the PM and get back to me. No word from my rep and 2 new techs show up on Monday of the 3rd week of install. So here I have wires hanging around for a week..ceiling tiles left out and a lift sitting here for 4 days. These new techs showed up but again I had to explain to them the camera locations. After doing this the install proceeded and everytime they installed a camera RFI would come ask me "Is this where you want this? Are you sure? Because it would get a better view over there". I was getting confused how the technicians tried to change every location. Friday of the 3 week the camera install was complete. RFI techs told me they were done and all they needed was the DVR which was ordered late. The 4th week went by and nothing until Friday the two technicians showed up at about 2 pm asking for me and said they were in the neighborhood and wanted to see the rack where the DVR was going to be installed. They wanted to make sure it was going to fit and if they needed screws. RFI then told me the DVR should be next week. After this disruption I asked why 2 technicians need to come out and ask these silly questions when they had been here before. I then asked for the phone number of their project manager. They told me they did not have one and were doing this install because work was slow. Hearing this I called the rep and demanded to talk to his manager. After some apologies about the whole ordeal the manager himself said he would like to meet with me monday of the following week. So here I am at week 6 and 3 RFI vans pull up. It turns out the GM I spoke with had an emergency situation and I was now meeting with a project manager from installaiton. He assured me that the install would be complete very soon he just needed to look and see where the status was at. By the end of monday they had installed the DVR and were fine tuning the cameras things looked like they were finishing as the PM had said in the morning. There were only 7 cameras total on this job all at easy locations with the exception of on ptz dome that needed the lift. This was the downfall to this job as RFI needed to rent a lift again because they could not get control of the camera. They asked for permission to work later hours 8pm that monday night attempting to get the camera to move. I agreed to this but again it backfired. Apon my return the next morning we had no network connectivity, I had to call our IT support tech to come out and troubleshoot and they found a broken fiber connector. Although I did not see RFI break the connector I can say they are the only ones who had access to the room where they installed the DVR. Wednesday of the 6th week RFI finally completed my system. That is almost one week per camera. I will never use this company again..if I could but I am dictated by my corporate office in San Jose to use them. All I can say is..if your are in Seattle stay clear of this company. Overpriced and very unprofessional.
