I have taken my precious dog to this clinic for over three years. I appreciate that the Dr. would like to examine my pet, and family member, PRIOR to administering vaccines. All high rated and reputable clinics require an exam prior to annual inoculations. When it comes time for the 3 year rabies, this clinic is real particular that the dog is adequately checked. I appreciate that. Checking the animal annually is preventative health care and can potentially save money in the long run! Not only do I recommend this clinic, I suggest that if some of these other postings are true, please consider first what a full annual physical for you or your children without insurance. Our animals are just as in need of health care. This clinic insistent about these types of formalities for a reason. There is however, no reason why one can't simply state they will get a second opinion in any serious condition of a pet. My dog is healthy, happy, has great teeth (which I give this clinic credit for pushing me to brush her teeth several times a week as a puppy). Thank you Point Loma Veterinary Clinic. BTW, if you want good health care, it is pricey. If you own an animal, this is to be expected. Animals are pricey to care for.
