The staff and technicians are very knowledgeable and helpful with all of your automobile repairs. I have been a faithful customer to the Garage for the last year and have been 110% pleased everytime with the service, professionalism, and expertise. I have to travel for my job throughout the country and I always have a hard time finding a quality auto shop and "The Garage" has exceeded my expectations. As a women knowing very little about automobiles I always question if garages are honest about the services needed and the quality provided but I have to say that everything that has been serviced on my car has been thoroughly explained and ok'd with me prior to providing the repair. This shop is top notch and the staff is super cool and flexible.

I needed my brakes done and these guys got me in right away. They did a great job, were friendly and even took my car for a car wash afterwards. AND they fixed my glove box for free. I would def. go here again.

I've known the owner for a very long time as he has been servicing my NSX ever since he was a certified NSX technician at Acura back in the early 90's when only NSX certified tech's could work on them. He's since opened his own shop and I've watched it grow into a successful business. I continue to bring my cars here because of the knowledge, skills, and service. That and the fact that I've saved countless dollars not having to go to the dealer. I highly recommend The Garage to friends and family and of course, to you.

I have a long story I could tell which would explain how great the Garage is, but I'll save you the trouble.

They do great work!!
They are cheap!!
They are honest!!
They are up front!!

It is as simple as that!!

They won my business keeping my 14 year old Camry SE running with 245k fixing one oil leak after another and I now refer them to all my friends. The friends of mine that have used The Garage now also love that place and refer to their friends too.
If you live anywhere near San Francisco and have a car problems, go to The Garage!!!!!

I brought my beat 1991 Toyota 4x4 in and asked them to give it a run-through to make sure it was drivable. They did and their advice and service was excellent. They are very flexible and offered to get factory parts if that what was really needed (which sometimes they are and other times they aren't). I even brought in a few parts I picked up at the dealer and they were happy to put them in. Over time I see investing in my truck further and will take it to Danny and his crew every time.

Towed my car in after work and they waited for my car before closing up. The next day they diagnosed it and told me the best and cost effective way to repair it. Definitely had my needs first and highly recommend The Garage to anyone. Will come back if I have any other issues.

I found this place on citysearch, and I want to thank all the previous reviewers. I had my toyota towed in after a van ran into my side and totally screwed up my suspension and front end. My experience with the garage and alice was great. She goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy. She gave me an awesome price and finished the job very promptly. She knows how to handle the insurance people. She is very personable herself and impressed me when she didnt even charge me for the additional minor repairs i asked for. Compared to my other experiences, they did a better job at a better price and they did it with a much better attitude.

I can't say enough good things about Danny and the shop that he has running at The Garage. I took my truck in to get new shocks, a 180k mile service, and an air conditioning recharge. They performed the work quick and at a price of about 33% off what the dealership told me if would cost.

Other posts said that the shop was hard to find but they have now moved off of the alley way and onto 10th street thus making it very easy to find.

I highly recommend this shop to others.

Only one experience with The Garage to speak of - so far, but it was a very satisfactory one. I actually found them here on Citysearch. They had alot of great reviews and a couple of negative ones, but hey, you cant make everyone happy. I found them to be very friendly and helpful. They were more than willing to explain exactly what they worked on, they charge reasonable rates, and they didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need. The symptoms I was having seemed complicated, but they were great about getting the car in and done in one day and they didn't charge for any parts, just labor. Although I'm no mechanic, I know enough about cars to know when I've had honest service. I found they lived up to their reputation for being straightforward and scrupulously honest, for which I'm very thankful.

Upon first contact with the folks at "The Garage," I though I was going to receive the quality of service that the other reviews on Citysearch had mentioned. Unfortunately, I was sadly disappointed. The gentlemen at the shop were definitely friendly, but they were not very good about communicating the needs of my vehicle to me; and they most certainly did not do this in any sort of "timely" manner. Ultimately, it took much longer than expected to complete the work requested, and in the end I felt that I didn't know exactly what was still wrong with my car. Come to find out four months later that there were many very loose nuts and bolts on the underside of my car that the guys at the garage failed to even notice. I was unsatisfied with the thoroughness of this garage, and will not return.

Danny and the crew at The Garage are a joy to do business with. I've never had a problem they couldn't fix, their estimates are always spot on, they call you to ask before they do anything beyond the original scope of the work, and they're just nice and honest people. They've always let me know what they think my best option is, even when I was trying to diagnose a smog check failure and they recommended limiting the work they did and referred me to different smog check center so that my repair work would be eligible for state credit. The words "Trustworthy" and "Mechanic" don't seem to go together these days; but with The Garage, they definitely do.

My Lexus has never had any problem until one day I can't start the engine,I have nothing to do,but calling The Garage,they promptly send one guy to check my car.In no time, he found the point and fixed it.Now,My car can rush everywhere without any problem at all,thanks to The Garage fast service.I recommend the shop to all my friends.

The most reliable, cost-efficient, and trustworthy place to take your car to. Not only are they quick in servicing your car, they do an EXCELLENT job. I stay in Modesto, and I prefer to go to The Garage any day. In the past, I've taken my car to other places, but one thing i notice is that other places always charge a ridiculous amount, not to mention there is coincidentally another problem with my car within the next week. But since taking my car to The Garage for the past 3 years, everything with my car has changed. I can drive my car out of The Garage knowing that I've just taken my car to a trustworthy place and I don't have to worry about driving my car. There should be service and people like at The Garage in EVERY city. But since there isn't, I choose to drive 2 hours to come here. The people there are knowledgeable, know what they're talking about and awesome. You can really tell they love cars and are NOT looking to rip you off. SO, take your car there, you won't regret it.

Brought my car in there one time from a friend's referral and I was thinking to myself "where the heck is this place". Had to get a tune up for my infiniti..........and within half an hour I got my car back.

Danny is very professional and doesn't give you any bs. i already recommend this shop to my friends, but now i'm telling anyone who reads this. i highly recommend this shop for any maintenance or repairs done to your car. #1 shop in San francisco

The Garage was highly recommended by family members. I live, work and do everything in the East Bay area and never considered going to San Francisco. I would classify myself as somewhat knowledgeable in Car repair. I take my vehicles to Lexus dealer but I usually caught them selling me services I don't need and to make it worst, their technician are incompetent almost damaging our new Lexus with 2500 miles. Then I decided to take my babied vehicle to The Garage last year and wish I have done this earlier. I've never found an auto shop this honest, flexible with great technician and bundled with a good pricing this makes my BART ride to work and back well worth it.

Like me, I found Danny really love cars and I feel the repair is more fun than a choir. Yes, the shop can get busy, but there is a reason why so many customers return to The Garage.

Danny is AWESOME! He was able to diagnose and repair my Lexus in less time than expected and less money than others were estimating. My partner and I had a hard time finding the garage but it is well worth it.

The Garage is a great place to take your car to if you're just tired of the BS you get at the dealerships. I've owned a few different makes and have found out the hard way that the dealerships in San Francisco are simply substandard. I've brought all my vehicles in to The Garage and they have always taken good care of them while at the same time being friendly and just down to earth. Prices were about half of dealership prices when I called to compare. Can you believe that? Anyway, good mechanics are so hard to find, give these guys a try and thank me later

i use to only bring my car to the dealership for service. the headaches of appointments, waiting, and high prices drove me to danny. now i bring my car ONLY to danny. YOURE THE BEST!!
