Found this restaurant when I queried for family restaurants and tried it based on the posted reviews. We were quite disappointed. The decor is nice although a bit typical for an italian restauraunt. Although we were seated immediately, I found the service to be so-so, although they did keep my husband's ice tea filled. There's only a limited wine by the glass menu, particularly in whites. When they took our orders, the server didn't try to "upsell" at all by asking if we wanted salads or appetizers. I had to stop her from leaving to order bruschetta. No suggestions or asking if we had questions, etc. Maybe it was because we brought our 4 year old; I kind of got the impression that they didn't want us to linger too long.
We had a mushroom bruschetta, which was tasty. My husband had the stuffed chicken breasts, which he said weren't that good. I had the crab risotto with a lobster-based tomato sauce and prawns. The risotto was an odd, unappetizing grey-brown color, and wasn't particularly flavorful. Most of it got left on my plate. Even my daughter, who eats almost anything, didn't touch it. The prawns and sauce were decent though.
I wouldn't really rate this restaurant as "family friendly" either. They have no kid's menus, no activities (although what parent doesn't bring their own?), and it was really too adult of an atmosphere. Also, as mentioned above, they didn't really seem too pleased to have children there.
We MIGHT try it again without our daughter, just to see if it was an off night, but probably not anytime soon. I really can't recommend it right now.
