Bamboo Village

Bamboo village is an Indonesian restaurant that supposedly cooks up some traditional southeast Asian delights. The restaurant seemed very empty (even on a Friday night), and service was slow. I ordered a Rendang, a slow cooked tender beef dish. However, their rendition was anything but tender, and I even had to request a knife to cut through the meat. The fried fish with chili sauce was underseasoned, and didn't have any punch. The fried rice was good.

PROS: Interesting ethnic Indonesian cuisine
CONS: Failed in service and fundamental cooking techniques
