Excellent pho
by Jonathan R.
I hesitated between giving Phuong Trang 4 or 5 stars -- I mean, is it really "world-class"? After thinking over the many tasty and exotic meals I've had there, however, I have to say, I would bring any worldly traveler there, even one from Vietnam. The pho tastes authentic, and is markedly different (and superior) to any other I've tried. The bien xiao is to die for. The spring rolls are the largest portions I've ever seen (though otherwise the same as any other I've had). (The food is cheap, too, for what you get!) Yesterday I brought two first-timers and two nitpicky vegetarians, who both reacted with horror at my choice of a Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. At the end of the luncheon, we were all congratulating ourselves.

love it!!!

One of the best vietnamese restaurants anywhere!!! This place fills up quickly on weekends so get here early or call for reservations. We had their special sauce lobster & it was soooo good!!! (It's on sale right now) I love how they are not stingy with their vegetables & herbs when we ordered the rice paper wraps. The price is amazing considering the amount of food you get & their service is quick & friendly.

This restaurant is very accommodating to their patrons (for they've housed groups of 40+ upon short notice) and the food selection is ridiculously vast! Even on a busy night, you will never wait more than 10 or 15 minutes for your order and the prices are not half bad either. Depending on what you order, you can get in a decent meal with a drink and appetizer for under $10. Give it a try!

More than just a pho place. Offers many authentic Vietnamese dishes. Affordable and filling. Spring rolls and egg rolls great as starters. Pho, broken rice, rice noodle dishes, basically everything is good . Fairly large restaurant so it will cater to larger parties. Service is slightly lacking, sometimes you get your food and drink at the same time.

I've been to this place a few times and thought the service was ok, but according to my friends' experience, they have the worst service ever. They have lots of Caucasian customers and seem to favor them over Asian ones. Last time my friend and her mom came in and were in line waiting to be seated and there's another Caucasian couple coming in and they served that couple before my friend and her mom. I thought that was pretty rude considering they didn't even give an explanation and the Caucasian guy actually said, "I thought they came before us" but they simlpy ignored that. There are lots more complaints from my friends regarding this place but I guess you gotta check it out to see for yourselves. The food aren't so great, except for the fried fish they and BBQ meat they have. Other than that, last time I tried, their noodles soup were tasteless and the fried noodles were overcooked, if not burned.
