Good authentic family style Chinese: clean food, never greasy, and homestyle. Authentic Chinese at its best. Tired of sweet and sour everything combos. Alternative to new age trendy atmospheres, high prices and bland food. You know its good when the service doesn't speak English very well and everyone eating there is Chinese! Only recommend for those who want to go for the great food and fair prices Chinese family style. Doesn't need decor because the line out the door is for the food.

It used to be one of my favorite restaurant about couple years back then before I moved, but guess what, not anymore... I was there a week ago, but it really disappointed me a bit. Food quality drops... I used to like the way they dealt with the crab with ginger & green onion, but now they ain't as good as I think. I heard that they have changed their chef about several months back, I guess it's the main reason of that.

This is my girlfriend and I's favorite chinese place. We go here AT LEAST once a week. The service is wonderful there (the waiters and manager are both very nice) and the food is excellent. This is what we have gotten and loved: west lake beef soup, crab and fish maw soup, salted fish and chicken fried rice, walnut shrimp, salt baked shrimp, fried chicken, seafood porridge, etc. EVERYTHING IS GOOD. highly recommended!

If you want to dine well with your family without going broke, I suggest going to Jumbo Seafood. My family always orders the $24 meal (available during lunch and dinner), which comes with 8 different dishes. The food is served family style, meaning that everyone shares the food. The owner often goes around the restaurant with his inviting personality. The food is served in relatively good time. I find this place quite clean, including the restrooms. You can also order the meals to-go. The restaurant itself isn't too fancy or decorative, so I don't suggest bringing your in-laws or business partners. The waiters and waitresses are really wonderful too.

PROS: Authentic Chinese Food, Good Service and Inviting Environment
CONS: Not fancy or Decorative

My husband and I frequent this restaurant because this is what real asian food taste like. When we go we are always the only people in the place that is american. You don't know what your missing by going to all those chain restaurants. Trust me I have been in this business for 28yrs. and it doesn't get better than these guys. Try the salted baked shrimp and chicken with black bean sauce.

Pros: Food, price, parking

Fresh seafood cooked to order and served in large quantities: whole fish, salt-baked prawns, clams in black bean sauce, calamari.

Family Style... Authentic Chinese Food. Not much joy for those seeking "Americanized Chinese Food"

If you judge a restaurant by its clientele then this is definitely one of Sacramento's best of the best real chinese food.

The menu is in english and chinese. Its pack during the dinner hours and its clientele is mostly asian.

Dont be surprise if you go there and find a 5-25 minute wait for a seat. The atmosphere is not geared towards dinner for two... but more for the family.

Sacramentans have their pick of Chinese restaurants, but Jumbo stands out with its traditional dishes, vast seafood selections and low prices. From salt-baked shrimp to fried flounder and everything in between, it's a good bet for those…
