Spoons has really good gigantic hamburgers. It is reasonably priced, a little more upscale. Can be a good date spot. Has a large bar area. french fries are good too. Restaurant is clean and well decorated, usually a little busy on weekends.

Spoons was one of my favorite places as a kid so when my wife and I went on a Sunday evening looking for a place to avoid the rush we expected something decent but nothing special. Nostalgia was the only thing the joint had going for it. It was sparsely attended for 6:30pm on a Sunday which should have been our first warning. We ordered some chips, salsa and cheese which did the job because we were famished but were nothing earth shaking. I had their Macho Burger, which is one of their 'signatures' and is made macho by the inclusion of chili beans and a split hot dog which should be amazing (and amazingly bad for you) but was dull and uninspired; a step below greasy spoon level. My wife's Philly Cheesesteak was distressingly thin and uber-salty. Too bad this place wasn't better as an out of the way treasure because it is in a very busy stretch of restaurants and one would think that a place that's been around so long would know how to do a burger and fries justice, instead it was agonizingly average and left me full but still wanting more.

Pros: uncrowded, parking, friendly

Cons: boring, slow, salty
