I too went in for an oil change. I live close by and have used them before and received coupons in the mail. I was use to being manipulated and pressured by them, but often times refused all their extra "suggestions" that jacked my bill up to $150 or $200, and insisting that i only wanted an oil change, where then the smooth talking mechanic ie (deal closer) would reply, "they charge even more at the dealership". I shrugged those remarks off and said calmly "that I only wanted an oil change". They then asked If I wanted a new air filter? I asked to be shown my current air filter (knowing that it had recently been changed). I followed the charlatan out to the garage and was then told "that the current filter could last a little longer but that they did sell a lifetime warranty on their special air filters. I said I would pass and wandered back to the waiting room. I waited for 30 minutes or so before I got anxious. I went to the garage and asked if my car was done. The manager approached me and beckoned me away from my car. He said they were just cleaning up a few things and it would be ready in another 10 minutes. I walked over to the Sombreros across the street and got a taco and ate it. When I got back, my SUV was done and I paid my bill and drove home. The next morning I walked out to my garage and noticed that my hood was not sitting flush on my car body. I opened my hood and discovered the struts that held my hood up were damaged ie bent, as if one of the mechanics slammed the hood down while a service hose was still under the hood causing harm to the hydraulic struts. I immediately drove over to the Ez lube and told the manager. He phoned the corporate office and sent someone out. The guy looked at it and said "since I left the premises they were not held liable". I was saddened deeply because I kept my Jeep in immaculate shape and was positive that the damage was caused by the mechanic. Needless to say I do not use them anymore.

Pros: it was near my house

Cons: dishonest swindlers, not members of the better business bureau

Same expereince as Junming! Went for a $20 oil change, said that i need a tranmission oil change, power steering change etc. They made a $200 bill and charged me $20 for a non-existent new air filter.i got that credited back.

Recommended to check the work they do after your car is out of the service bay

Two weeks ago, I went there for an oil change because of its convenient location. I planed only to pay $20 for a regular oil change, and I ended up paying $180 for several unnecessary charges. Even though I told them that I had done tuneup a few months ago, they still coaxed me to chang fuel filter and others without telling me the real charges. I am not very tech savy on cars. Who knows what happened to me that day, I even agreed to change rainbrush. Who needs to change rainbrush in San Diego? After I saw bill, it was more than $170 plus tax! Even though I was not happy, I still paid the bill.
I found that I had changed fuel filter and intake system in the last tuneup after I went home.
These guys are not honest. Be very careful when you go there. Make sure know your total charge before leting them work on your car. Otherwise you will be surprised like me.

Ez Lube is a great place to go for a lube job and a tuneup. I have never had aproblem with the work they have done, actually just the opposite, they were friendly and fast. I bring my car to them everytime I need a lube job. I recommend them highly.

These guys were great. After my oil change, I came home to find a leak. I called EZ Lube and they sent someone out right away. Turns out that it was a defect in the car and the warrantee covered it, but I was impressed that they came out within 15 minutes to see what was going on.

EZ Lube is anything but just that for the customer. I went there for an oil change and a few days after noticed my car leaking oil. When I took it to the shop they said that EZ Lube put in the lowest quality filter possible and did not screw my cap back on resulting in my car leaking a lot of oil.
