waited IN the treatment room over an hour with BP at 82/42, fever and dehydration while staff frolicked and 3 sat alongside a physician watching him stitch a cut knee. 4 hours and I had to demand a blood test, demand and get results from lab and ask 4 nurses and staff for treatment, poorest ER staff I have ever witnessed. 2 women kept apologizing and said that it never happens but went back to hanging out while husband lay in dire mode. NEVER back again!

This hospital is awful. They failed to diagnose my kid's dislocated arm after we had told them a number of times that the arm appeared dislocated. Finally, they were getting ready to discharge us and we again demanded that they look at the arm again. All the sudden, the doctor got a deer in headlights look on her face and she needed more xrays. The doctors are sloppy and inconsiderate. The only way I would ever return to this hospital is if I was brought there by ambulance. Next time, we will drive the extra ten miles to Tarzana.

Very good. I recommend it! They gave me a comfy bed, the room was clean, and a nurse came to check on me every 15 minutes.

After several days of being ill,I was seen by my private M.D. on 02/23/11. After my appoint.I became very ill & went to Los Robles E.R.and was admitted with-in15 minutes. I was seen by a Dr. Roland Bastian, M.D. He examined me with great attention & detail. Dr. Bastian was compasionate & competant even with a "full house" of crying & suffering. The care I received was "perfect" despite an illness that was complex & difficult to diagnose. This is an everyday challenge for emergency rooms, along with Calif.'s state budget cuts on MEDICAID. So many private Dr.s are not accepting patients...as a result the burden of "overflow" is at the E.R.! Thank you for your care Los Robles E.R. & Dr. Bastian.

I drove to Los Robles Hospital on Sept 2,10 @ 4am .I parked my car in the structure and walked to the ER . I was having trouble breathing ! I talked to the guard and I said that I have trouble Breathing---I said to the Guard---I brought my Book to read and I will sit over here--I pointed to a chair that I wanted to sit in . --I NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO SIT ! Very soon I was in a wheel chair and taken into the ER for an evaluation.. LET ME TELL YOU THE PEOPLE IN THE ER ----ARE SUPER FAST! I was taken in ASAP ! Maryellen

My son went to this hospital for the emergency room and was released twice in less than twelve hours for acute colitis even though he was internally bleeding and they said it was not a big deal if he bled a little. By the third time we took him to the er, he was bleeding bright red every time he went to the bathroom. Then they took him seriously. After being admitted no doctor showed up to tell us what was going on. The nurses where taking care of him and said they where following the doctor's instructions but never saw his face until the third day and that was the only day. Billed insurance company for every single day without being there! A different doctor performed a colonoscopy and decided to change the time without notifying the patient or his parents. Also billed for everyday with out being there or being his doctor before that. Thank god I slept at the hospital! All night a lady was screaming and no attention was given to her...Run from this place and drive east as fast as you can. Looks can be deceiving! Beautiful and nice building but watch out for fraudulent billing and uncaring staff and doctors! The doctor gave me a phone call after the procedure to my cell instead of coming out to tell me how the colonoscopy went, and on top billed my insurance for attention given to the patient for every single day he was at the hospital and only saw his face once before the procedure and never saw him again!A lady was waiting also for her husband and she was telling me she had a lawsuit against the hospital meanwhile I was waiting for my son to come out of the procedure. Run, run, run... Or you will regret the bills and then following the problem in another facility!

Beautiful facility. Staffing is always skeleton crew, they work with the bare minimum. Nurses are overworked, short tempered, and do not have enough time to go the extra mile to provide kindness or caring attitude. Elderly patients are always falling on the floor. Not enough nurses to staff for quality & safe care. When in the hospital my family member was billed for services that were not rendered. When brought
to billing departments knowledge they argued about it, even though the items being billed were not on the medical record. They threatened to turn my family into the collection agency if we didn't pay for these services, that were not given. It took over 9 months to finally get these extra charges off of our account. This Hospital is an example of BAD MANAGEMENT & on many levels AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT NOT TO DO....

I spent 4 days at Los Robles July, 2010. I could not ask for more attentive, caring, knowledgeable staff. My room was clean, the food was good. I had no complaints.

A great place - if you want to experience what it is like to go to a inner city ghetto hospital. Incompetence, insolence, infections. Don't go there without someone with medical training to watch over you.

I had the absolute worst experience at Los Robles Hospital TWICE!! The first time I was rushed in with blood in my urine and excruiating pain,I was up for hours vomiting and sick most of the night, my wife who was six months pregnant forced me to go to the hospital. There were two people waiting before me, we all waited about four hours. No one came out to even check me as I was almost screaming with pain. The staff were rude and the admitting cleark refused to do anything until we filled out all of the forms without offering to help.I was shocked by the uncaring attitude of the nurses, the doctor was nice.I had a kidney stone and ended up going for surgery.Bad ER. Bad nurses. Bad PR. The second admission I was in an accident and brought in by the paramedics, this was faster but again the staff could care less and my nurse would not remove the neck splint even after my xrays were ok and the doctor gave the ok.I was in pain and felt that I was messing up the party that was going on with all the gossiping.Dont take your dog to this over priced hospital, they dont deserve even one star!

I went to the Los Robles Hospital ER on 12/29/2008 at 4PM with pain in the abdomen. They made me wait for 5 hours and said that 3 were ahead of me at 9PM. I left the ER in disgust and went to the UCLA hospital ER the next day.

I had a blocked Intestine that was cancer of the Colon that had spread to the liver. I had surgery on 1/6/2009 at UCLA Medical Center.

The point is that the Los Robles Hospital ER ignored me for 5 hours when I had a life emergency.

That decision was made by the head nurse on duty at the time.

I will never go to the Los Robles Hospital ER again.

A total NIGHTMARE. Unless you are dying, stay away from this hospital and their emergency room. I went in with a high fever, was taken to a room within 30 minutes, and then waited.. and waited... and waited...I spent more than 5 hours just to be told that there was essentially nothing wrong after my fever was gone. That would have been ok, except that the doctors here do not exist - I think they had one physician on staff for the 20 or so patients. Another King Drew Med Ctr in our backyard. The health department needs to investigate this hell hole. What a sham!!

I had the worst experience at Los Robles in their ER. I had chest pain and shortness of breath with an elevated blood pressure. I was told to return back out to the waiting room without being given anything for my blood pressure. I had waited several hours and then after a chest x ray and blood draws I had waited several more. I was eventually discharged after no diagnostic studies of my heart and had open heart surgery at another hospital because I refused to go back after my chest pain had persisted days later. I felt like they had treated me like a I had a runny nose.

Going to the ER usually means a long wait. But 7+ hours? Not only is the wait terrible but the staff is borderline cruel. They are not sympathetic at all and when you try to ask them questions they don't hide the annoyance in their face. They spent all this money upgrading the hospital when they should have spent their money on their employees. Clearly they are lacking in staff and training. Everyone is waiting, from the people in the waiting room to the people who are blessed enough to be taken to a room. So the question is - what are all the doctors and nurses doing that they can't get us in and out in a timely manner? I've been to Simi Valley ER a number of times and never experienced this level of unprofessionalism.

Los Robles has got to be one of the top hospitals for the area. The staff is very friendly and you just feel like you are getting good care there. HIghly recommended if you know, you get sick or something! But really, try to stay well, ok?

This hospital is extemely neat and clean even though they are presently going through some renovations and new construction. They're friendly, thorough, and don't charge anything at all for parking. Very nice hospital.
