I don't know why a lot of these people are making these accusations, but no "Mr. Yoss" works for Golden West Property Management in Cypress...granted, people get bitter and the internet lets you say whatever, but obviously these people

I am moving from AZ to Norwalk CA for family reasons. I had the displeasure of visiting Benton Bay Condo's where I looked at a few Condo's they have for sale. The actual Condo itself was nice. The property how ever was something to be desired.

The property is fairly wooded. By that I mean there are a lot of Trees that help shade the property, which is very nice. There are fountains and a "lake" in the middle of the property. The problem with the "lake" is that it looks as if someone added green food coloring to it in one area and another area looks like TAR. Not to mention that there is so much debris from the trees around it just looks messy.

While on my tour I noticed the landscapers. If the management company enjoys paying for these people to be there on break for three hours, I would not want to pay dues for that. When I was leaving I asked them how long they were going to be on break, as I had seen them there for just over three hours. They stated that they were just going to lunch. LIARS

I had the pleasure of talking to a few residents that were out that day. The older man I talked to stated he was not happy with the "board" that represents the residents. All they do is fight and never get anything done. They raise dues and never tell you what you are paying for. The carports were to be redone over a year ago and still have not. Another lady told me she was fed up with the board as the president of the board does what she wants, but other residents receive fines or letters telling them they can not. I asked for an example and they told me that a neighbor received a letter for having lights in the common area. The president has them all over the common area around her home. They took me and showed me.

I'm glad I got to met some of the residents of Benton Bay and find things out about the property. Obviously the Management Co "Golden West" does not care for the properties they manage.

GWPM managed my SFR property in Westminster for a couple years. They were "OK". Not particularly competent, but not dishonest, like some of the other property management services I've hired over the years.
One particularly annoying aspect of their business is that they shut the entire business down every day for an hour or 2 for lunch.

We are thinking of renting from this person in a few weeks. On Sunland Vista. He told us the person in the house now now lost his job and needs to move. I have no idea after reading this if he is telling us the truth. does this sound familiar to anyone?

I live in Tucson, AZ. We found a house managed by Golden West Property Management 4 months ago. The "President", Mr. Jayson Yoss lied to us about our lease. We were looking for a long term lease because we didn't want to have to pick up and move all over again. When he gave us the opportunity to sign a 4 month lease we told him we wanted something long term. His response was that the owner just wanted to make sure we were good tenants, and that we pay our rent on time, and then we'd be able to sign a longer lease. Unfortunately for us none of that was in writing. We paid our rent early or on time every month, and never had any problems. On July 19th we received a notice in the mail that our lease was coming to an end as of July 30th. There was never any contact to re-sign or extend our lease. When we did contact Mr. Yoss he had no recolection of the conversation we had about being good tenants. We asked why we weren't even considered to re-new or contacted, and he said because they didn't have to, and it was the owners decision. As I poured my heart out over the phone, because I was coming to the realization that I had to move in 9 days, his only words of comfort was "I don't have to say this, but I'm sorry." I will never use this company again, and I will find every opportunity to tell anyone and everyone about my experience.
