.

On one hand, the guys that work here are very nice. If you want to know about where to surf, for instance, they're great. And I'm sure it's a nice gym. When it comes to tanning, however, this is NOT the place to go. Answers to questions such as 'how often do you change the tanning bed bulbs?' (and that does make a difference) were 'Um, I don't know.' T

The bed itself was not particularly clean - there were smears on the underside of the top. No CD or tape player for music and no towels, just a roll of paper towels and disinfectant spray so each user could clean the bed when they were finished. A posted notice made it clear that this was expected.

Now I realize that tanning is not Golden Gate Fitness's primary business. But if they're going to charge 10 bucks per session (the most I've ever paid at premium salons is $8.00), at the very least they shouldn't make the patrons clean their own beds.
