Y S 76 Auto Care

I found this place by a recommendation from AAA. I needed my belts tightened. Im not a mechanic, but I already knew what the problem was and several other shops confirmed this, but the wait was very long. I told the guy Sunny Lee(I think he is the owner or manager) and he looked at it and said the belts needed to be tightened or they needed to be replaced...what? just to let you know I had ALL my belts replaced no more than 3 months ago, so that was a red flag for me that he is not honest. I then told him that I would need a written esitmate and he refused. I told him that I needed it to send to the original facility is was repaired so they can reinburse me since its still under warranty. He still refused and said he can't do that. What reputable facility wont give you a written estimate??? We went back and forth and he finally said ok. Once he printed the estimate I asked if he could fax it to the other facility because they needed to approve it first, so I could be reinbursed. He said, "No you do it". I politely asked are you a business that wants customers and walked away. Needless to say I will never return, not even to buy gas.

My advice is find another business that wants your business and treats you with respect.

I just replace my A/C compressor and it cool just fine while moving but does not cool the air when stop. I took it to YS 76 and he look at it and told me to replace the freon. He tooks 3 hours to look at it, test it and replace the freon. He then told me if this does not help, then I need to buy a new car. It did not help and the A/C still does not cool down at stop.

I decided to take it to the dealer and they diagnose it and said that the idle up solenoid was defective. That is why the compressor did not engage at idle because the idle speed was too low without the idle up solenoid to increase the idle to compensate for the extra load from the compressor to the engine. The A/C works fine with the idle up solenoid replaced.

YS 76 was suppose to be ASE certified and AAA approved but they could not solve the problem. Make me wonder if they know what they are doing.

PROS: None
CONS: Don't know what they are doing. Takes too long and still could not fix it.
