Below is the letter I wrote to the Doctor but never received a reply;

Dear Dr. Keri,

I'm sad to say that I won't be taking my children to your office any longer. I have been very unsatisfied with the whole experience every time I have taken my children in the past year or so. I've been taking my children there for a long time now, and before everything was always very easy going, I was very pleased at the staff and the efficiency. But now it seems like a lot has changed and not exactly for the better. There are constantly long waits to be called in. There are obviously too many patients being scheduled for the same time, which leads to the very uncomfortable situation of sitting in an overcrowded waiting room, sometimes even having to stand for a while. That shows me no care for the customer. On one occasion I went in to ask if you could do a gum exposure for one of my children because she needed it done in relation to her braces. I stood there for a long time waiting for the receptionist to figure it out. Which she said she couldn't tell me because the dentist was too busy. I went home and called back a few days later and was told to schedule an appointment for the dentist to see my child and then determine what he could or could not do. This shows me that your receptionist aren't well trained, they wasted my time standing there while they walked around asking other staff members, when they could've just scheduled me an appointment at that moment to bring my child in at a later time. Recently, I had an appointment for another one of my children in which he had to have some work done. That morning my son was extremely congested from a cold he was getting through. I called in and told the secretary that I didn't think it was a good idea to take my son in because of all the congestion, I thought it would be hard for him to handle the work without the nasal mask, and it would be hard for him to breathe with it. I was told by the secretary that I had to take him in and let the Dentist determine that. I went and sat in that overcrowded office for a little more than an hour, just to walk in and have the dental assistant tell me they couldn't do the nose mask because of the congestion and that it wasn't a good idea to do the work without it if my son is too nervous, which he is. That made me very upset because I drove all the way down to that office, sat there for more than an hour in a very crowded office just to go home the same way, that was a total waste of my time. Dr. Keri I really think you need to pay more close attention to your Chula Vista office just as you do for your Eastlake location. I've been to both and I can tell you there is higher quality care at the Eastlake location. You have a torn seat in the Chula Vista office that really needs to be repaired or replaced. Business isn't only about making money it's about giving quality service and I can no longer agree to that for the Chula Vista office. I regret having to take my kids elsewhere but I don't think I'm getting the best service possible from your office. I will be taking my children to my regular dentist from now on, and even though they won't be watching cartoons as they get their teeth cleaned, we won't be waiting in an overcrowded office for more than an hour.

Dr. Keri, you are a great dentist but you need to make sure that a business with your name on it is up to your standards. It's starting to seem like the Eastlake one is the upper-class one and the Chula Vista one is the lesser one. I'm not dealing with that anymore, and I'm sure not many other patients will either. Take care of your dental office.

Sincerely,

Patricia

Dr. Keri is a crook. She charged me for a service that my daughter never received and then got mad because I asked for a refund. My daughter went in to have work done. Because she was so small, we opted for her "behavior modification therapy" or whatever she call it. My husband and I both stayed in the office the entire time, to calm our daughter and keep her from crying. Dr. Keri came in and said a few goo-goos and ga-gas, then charged me over $150 for it! I cound not believe it. I thought I was acutally going to get a service from the doctor, whereas I really did all the work and no one paid me $150!

You cannot question anything that happens in that office. If you do, you will get rude responses from everyone including her! She is unprofessional and does not care about children, only making money. She lives in a great big mansion over in the Gates at the Eastlake woods, nodoubt because she churns in and out so many kids with her mediocre dental care.

Try Dr. Poisette at Children's Hospital for your dental care. He was a real sweetheart to our child.

I was very excited to visit Dr Keri's office. For years I have driven by the office knowing that I would take my kids there. First off, I called and made the appointment... I let them know that this was my daughter's first dental appointment ever. I was scheduled for 11:00 on a Monday. We waited over an hour to be seen. While we were waiting, a mom was complaining of waiting for over an hour for her soon to be treated. I don't mind waiting.... I'm realistic, I know that there is typically a wait at any doctor's or dentist's office. BUT, when we were finally seen... We were RUSHED through a shoddy cleaning. The hygienist was speaking to my 3 year old daughter in a completely ridiculous tone and manner... Telling her if she didn't open her mouth she couldn't have her "oral exam..." That is so ridiculous... Anyone could speak to her like that.. These are specialists that are supposed to be caring and patient? Then she was rushed through an even shoddier exam by the dentist. She did not even spend 5 minutes with us. I know that some children are uncooperative... I'm sure that must be extremely frustrating for the dental hygienists and assistants but I thought that was the whole reason they specialized in treating children!!! I thought that a little extra patience and sensitivity would have gone a long way. In any event, since this was my daughter's first exam, I had NO IDEA this was not standard... I was stunned when I left the office. My daughter was hysterical. I realized that we were the last ones in my office. They rushed because they wanted to take their damn lunch break!!!! CRAPPY SERVICE from CRAPPY PEOPLE. Every doctor/dentist's office has a TV in their lobby these days... that does not mean they should market themselves as "specializing in kids..." WOULDN'T TAKE MY KIDS BACK IF THEY WERE THE LAST DENTAL OFFICE ON EARTH!! AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE ABOUT MY NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE!!!

I agree...All the work that Dr.Keri has done on my daughter for the past 3yrs has had to be redone. Where do I start...The filling crack and fall out. The crowns she uses are not real crowns but plastic caps. They fall out constantly. My daughter had to have one tooth removed because it got infected after a root canal. The crowns that should be used are stainless steel with a porcelain overlay. That's for the front teeth. The dentist we currently see has redone all the work Dr. Keri did and has used these stainless steel crown with a porcelain overlay. They not only look great but Every time my kids saw Dr.Keri they needed tons of work done.My son would always have at least 2 cavities to be filled every time he saw Dr.Keri. My son saw his dentist today and all that was wrong was that a filling that was done by Dr.Keri cracked and needs to be replaced. Again more of her work must be redone. No cavities for my son or anything else was wrong. My daughter would always need alot of work done it was ridiculous just as I feel that all the work that has been done by Dr. Keri has to be redone. They are rude, as soon as you ask question regarding the work that needs to be done they get upset at you....Both offices are the same, she has another one in Chula Vista...By far the worst dentist out there, please do not subject your children to her treatment.

Dr. Keri has treated 2 of my children for over 10 years. Her staff is very friendly and help children overcome the fear of going to the dentist. She has an excellent bedside manner.

Please save yourself time, money and aggravation. Do not go to any of the Super Dentists' locations. Although the decor is lovely and there are fun things for the kids to do, you still probably don't want to "enjoy" the lobby for an hour do you? Well, you probably will so be prepared, because it's a long wait to actually see one of the many unskilled staff people.

Our three year old was subjected to baby talk by most the staff there. This was just annoying. What we really didn't appreciate was being told that she had seven cavities (we went in for one visible one). When I inquired in amazement that she had so many cavities-since we floss and brush her twice a day-the dentist pointed to the x-rays and said, "don't you see them?" I responded, "no, those don't really look like anything to me." They assured me they were cavities. After tying her to a board and pinning her down with her screaming and crying the whole time, they decided that she needed full sedation. This was done at Kaiser and went fine.....until the next day when we noticed that they didn't fix the one cavity we went in for. She did have a mouth full of metal from all the other supposed cavities they fixed. Needless to say we were upset that after all trauma to get her sedated at the hospital that they hadn't done all the work. When we inquired why they didn't fix the cavity we were told by Dr. Keri that it was PROBABLY because it was superficial.

Well, we just took her to a real pediatric dentist who confirmed that it is NOT superficial and needs to be taken care of. And what a surprise? Turns out the other seven that they did fix and charge us for were superficial.

I cannot stress enough how poor the service is from these dental offices. I guess they think they're pediatric dentists because they have pictures of trees and fairies on the walls and provide games and computers for the kids. I think hiring people who actually like and understand kids would be really helpful, and they may want to do quality dental work and not just inflate the bill with needless work.

Please, please, please, do not go their offices.

Stay far far away from this dental practice. We took our three-year old daughter, despite warnings from other parents. They have all the gimmicks that kids love, but the service is terrible.

We could see a cavity in our daughter's mouth, which we pointed out to the dentist (at the Downtown Chula Vista location). X-rays were taken and she identified seven (7?!?!) other cavities. They tried to do the work in the office, which included an oral sedative and use of straps and a board to hold her down. She screamed the entire time. They decided that full sedation was required. That was performed at Kaiser and went well, but to our surprise they did not repair the visible cavity. They did however repair the other supposed cavities and charged us for every single one of them. When we went for our follow-up and asked about why the cavity wasn't filled we received a very inadequate response from Dr. Nazli herself and some gel to brush on it to help keep it at bay.

We just took our daughter to a wonderful pediatric dentist in La Mesa who took the time to know her name and ours (this will not happen at Dr. Nazli's offices) and they confirmed that the remaining cavity is the only one that needed to actually be repaired. The others would likely have gone away with good tooth maintenance since they were so superficial.

Unless you like being charged for unnecessary work, and have staff that isn't actually trained to put your child at ease except to turn on a tv when work is being done, please don't go to Dr. Nazli.

I know this is their downtown location and I love it because its close to my house and Marie Calendars is right across the street! The office is nice and they keep it really clean, the staff are really sweet girls and everyone smiled - no complaints here.

My son has been to this practice a few times. It's very kid friendly, they get a goodie bag, there is tv on in the exam rooms. He even let them floss his teeth at the tender age of 3! Highly recommend.

I live up the street from them and finally decided to go in and check out the place and it does look like the pictures! I made an appt. to see Dr. Keri for my son (which hates dentists) and I was suprised that everyone was so nice and I wish they had something like this when I was a kid. Our appt. is this week - I'll let you know how it goes :)

I have been taking my 3 kids for the past 8 years to this office. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. My kids love Dr Keri and her staff and can't wait to go for their appointment. The whole staff are very professional and freindly. The office atmoshere is very child freindly and there is always some kind of activity going on to entertain the kids. Last week they had the Santa and we loved it! We tell everyone we know about them and we feel so lucky to have people like them in our community.

We've been taking our children to Dr. Keri's office for a few years to the F Street office location and although we've always been happy with the service and Dr. Keri and other doctors there, our children have always preferred to go to their Eastlake office because of all the cool games and decoration. We just went back to their F Street office today and now this location looks even better than their Eastlake. Lots of video games, a toy store and lots of other things no one can imagine you'd find in a dental office. The only dillema we have is if we ever move, where would my kids find a place like this.

Lots of video games, a toy store and lots of other things no one can imagine you'd find in a dental office. The only dillema we have is if we ever move, where would my kids find a place like this.

Pros: Great atmosphere, wonderful service, quality dentists

.

Our first visit was perfect. When going to the dentist, the first nurse to see my son & medicate him really sets the tone for the rest of the visit. The first nurse we had was nice, and subsequently we had a wonderful visit. The second time we went, the nurse not only seemed uncaring but somewhat aggressive. My 3 year old son responded by being uncooperative the rest of the visit. I just figured, okay that visit was pretty bad, but maybe it was just a very bad day at the office for some reason. I went back one last time, and that's when all hell broke loose. Again, the first nurse we saw seemed like she had not a clue on how to work with children, and was very pushy and aggressive. Without introducing herself to my son or saying anything to him for that matter, she tried to cram the medicine down his throat and take his temperature. This turned into a bit of a physical altercation, as I eventually had to hold my son down while they injected the medicine into his mouth with a syringe. This before 2 baby root canals for godssakes. My son walked out of there in hysterics with swollen, bleeding lips. I watched as his lips were repeatedly pinched and crushed while the dentist worked. That was the last straw for me. My son now hates the dentist.

My 3 kids have been seen at both offices. The waiting area is cute in Eastlake and in Chula Vista it is small, crowded and horrible. I thought the assistants were all nice and helpful. Most of the dentists- I think there's like 3 were all rude and VERY short. It's true they do lots of extras just for the money. When I took my kids to 2 other dentists they totally disagreed with her plans of treatment. They actually told me that what she was planning to do with my son would cause him to have more problems later on. I too, went back to have a filling re-done. I thought they were gentle with my kids when they were 1 and 2, but when my son was 6 he was over the behavior modification. He NEVER would even make a peep and she said he was hard to control. It was just for extra money. I kept going fro so many years just because it was familiar. Now that I have switched-we are much happier.

My children have been patients of Dr. Keri for over a year and have had only GREAT SERVICE from the staff! We have seen many other dentist in the past and I can tell you that Dr. Keri's service is awesome. She is very knowledgeable, informative, personable and her work is one of the best that I've seen from all the other dentists that we've been to in the past...and we've been to a lot (since I'm pretty picky with getting good quality service). I'm not sure what happened with this other patient's experience (maybe good dental hygiene wasn't being practiced at home), but from my personal experience and with talking to a lot of other parents, I have heard nothing but EXCELLENT FEEDBACK with their child's dental experience at both offices of Dr. Keri.

The staff is prompt in acknowledging you when you enter the office and the dental service is top notch from the other dentists that I've been to. Many parents rave about the awesome work and their children love seeing Dr. Keri and being in the office.

I will continue my awesome experience at Dr. Keri's office as will all the other parents that love Dr. Keri's work on their children. I definitely will recommend Dr. Keri to anyone looking for a positive dental experience for their child (as I know going to the dentist can be pretty scary for many). Keep up the great work Dr. Keri! My children now LOVE going to the dentist, which is pretty amazing.

My childs filling came out after only ONE month! When I took him back she was very rude and was mad I asked questions about my childs dental care! She snatched off her gloves and left my child in the chair after he had just received a shot to numb his mouth, told the assistant to "reschedule" and stormed out of the room leaving my child on the table without doing any work!!! SHE IS THE WORST DENTIST EVER!!!!! I had to DEMAND she come back and finish her job I ALREADY PAID FOR!!!!!!!

What 4 year old asks when her next dentist appointment is?? Dr. Keri's office is so interactive and welcoming that kids feel comfortable there instantly.

They take the time to explain things to the child as well as the parent. Despite the fact that it is a very busy office, you don't get the feeling that they are just shuffling people in and out.
