Not a great place at all. You know you are in trouble when your burrito is dripping with juice from the beans/rice. Maybe they were frozen??? Pass on this taqueria.

From the outside, you might not think that Taqueria La Mordida packs a powerful Burrito. I decided to walk in and give it a try and to my surprise found the best damn burrito in Downtown San Jose. Yes, even better than the famed La Victoria's. And the inside of the restaurant is just as colorful and spicy as it's burritos. Try it. You'll find a new favorite.

My husband and I just moved to Atlanta and we're already missing the great food at this place! We're already planning a visit the next time we're in town. The food reminds me of my grandmother's and hits the spot whenever I need some comfort food. The staff has always been friendly and I love that the two of us can eat and be very full for under $20. The only con: parking can be difficult if there's a Sharks game or other downtown event. It's then best to head down to La Mordida 2 on Capitol Expressway. Fortunately, this is one of the few locations that I've found great posole (like menudo soup without the tripe).

Pros: Great food, inexpensive
