We use Double Dog Dare Ya exclusively - We are both in the industry and have to travel sometimes for weeks on end. We would never think of taking our PRECIOUS, ADORABLE, BEAUTIFUL, PERFECT Golden Retriever Sugar any where but Double Dog Dare Ya. The owner Patrick is the most informative dog person that we have ever known. The staff is extraordinarily well trained. I read the whining review from the woman that didn't get her own way with her two labs. it made me laugh out loud. i'm sure knowing Patrick he did not say "tell her to BUZZ OFF" - i'll let you use your imagination. 5 stars -I wish that we were allowed to use 10. That's just how much we count on Double Dog Dare Ya. Narcissist need not apply. . . but then you know that now don't you. Go to the web site read what is written you will not be sorry.

"We are Dog People. Kids are nice too, but DOGS RULE! Our two Labradors have not been boarded in two years- but our dog/house-sitter moved to Austin so we called DDDY to reserve space in September.
Our dogs have stayed there before, and we expressed our concerns years ago that there is no human contact with the dogs. You can watch the dogs online via "doggie-cams" but this will be cold comfort. What you see are dogs sitting in a tiny cement yard; there is no grass or landscaping at all. There are NO TOYS OF ANY KIND because the owner feels it will lead to dog fights. There is nothing for the dogs to do, and nobody to do it with. I am not kidding- there is literally no interaction with humans. Well, for social. people-loving dogs like Labs this is extremely detrimental. Our dogs come home starved for human touch/affection.
So today, I expressed these concerns with the receptionist. She said very little. Here's the kicker- 10 minutes later, I received a call from this poor teenager saying, and I quote " Patrick said that if you don't like the way he does business then your dogs are not welcome here." Endquote.
I said, 'Just to be clear, you are saying that my concerns are being "addressed" by telling me, the client, to Buzz-Off?" Long silence, and then "Yes, that's what he said to tell you."

My Husband owns his own business and we were stunned at the lack of professionalism and the incredible rude, boorish repsonse, delivered by a young employee, not the owner. Nice....
Thankfully, we did some research and discovered that a lot has happened in the two years since our dogs were last boarded- there are many choices and we strongly feel that DDDY should stick to grooming teacup doggies and leave the serious business of caring for people's beloved pets to Pro's- Pro's who Love Dogs. What dolts!"

After an exhausting search for a local groomer, I finally decided to bring our little pup to Double Dog Dare Ya. I am very picky about who grooms our little yorkie because many other groomers use harsh chemicals. I only made an appointment with DDDY because everyone else in the area was booked for the day. Anyhow, I told my boyfriend that we would check out the place and if I felt uncomfortable with their facilities we would go elsewhere. The surrounding buildings are not impressive, but once you enter the beautifully designed entryway of DDDY you will fall in love. It is like a small doggy haven! My dog's hair was cut beautifully. Needless to say, I loved this place.
