After reading these review of rude sales people I wont be ordering from them. I am glade I always check a business out on line before spending money. I too called and got a rude person on the phone. I said hello and the person on the other end just said , yeah what do you want. I hung up and will not buy. Thanks for the information on them. They lost a $3,000 sale.

horrible customer service. emailed them with no response at all. Called them and was pretty much insulted by the guy who picked up the phone and practically yelled at me for a simple question about a part that they might have in stock.

Will ne er do business with them ever. I dont like to be insulted and yelled at when I'm trying to give them business

Right when I was getting discouraged by the choice of gun stores in the valley, I came across Gun Kings. These guys (and ladies) are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I wandered into this place after wasting time at Gun World and Kings was absolutely the polar opposite. The employees are only too happy to show me the C&R they had available, gave me a breakdown on CA law and were incredibly enthusiastic when talking about their cowboy guns. The enthusiasm was so great that I brought my wife in so that she could get talked into cowboy shooting along with me. This is now the only gun store I go to in the Valley.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have bought a couple of weapons from this shop and have used their gun-smithing services in the past. They have always been rude (for no apparent reason) and don't seem to understand that they are not the only game in town.

Today I took a weapon in to be fixed (assault rifle) and this fat guy with glasses started SCREAMING at me about the "Roberti-Roos Act" as if I had something to do with writing the law. It came out of nowhere and really took my by surprise. We're all on the same team, jackass!

It's clear they are struggling under the tough laws, as they have shortened their hours and their inventory is sparse at best. You would think they would be doing all they can to hold onto customers. Apparently not. This is one gun owner who will NEVER step into that shop again.

I used to go to King's quite a bit, and have had two 1911s customized there. They were always helpful, and depending on the salesman, may be a little more friendlier than the other, but it simply depends on who helps you. I've been in their store about twenty times at least, and never felt anyone was ever rude to me. It CAN take a while to get waiting on depending on how busy they are. They have the most knowledgable salesmen in town, especially regarding 1911s and wheel guns.
I think they are simply one of the best, most respected gun shops in America.

Shaun had a bad experiance, but if he got a weird vibe simply after entering the shop, then perhaps the attitude was all his, and was duly and responcibly detected by the salesman. I worked there during the 90s, and I was definitely no old fart. The store has an old timey, down home feel, which is how we liked it. Like family, if you came in with questions, with honest desires for service, then you would get good service. King's is not a playground for children, and like responcible adults, we escort the children back out when they come in.

We served the needs of law enforcement and competition shooters for decades. King's has done custom work for Hank Williams Jr. and Robert Carradine, among many other luminaries who trust our level of professionalism and competence with metal working.

Not only are they tops in the field of custom work for 1911s, they also do cowboy guns, including SAA and lever rifles. King's led the field in development of custom parts for the Officre's model, including the ramped, comp barrel and full-length guide rod kit for the Officer's model. Need custom parts for your Para Ord, they have them, and can install them.

I Went to Kings Gun Works a couple of months back and had a look around. I was looking for a professional to help me find the gun for me. Upon entering this establishment I immediately got a weird vibe. As I walked around trying to play it off I was approached by one of the supposed kind old timer employees who are professional and caring. He asked me, "are you 21?" "I am not 21 but I am 20", I said. He then said that he cant service me because of a store policy that they have. Well California law says that I can enter a gun store if I please because I am a legal adult. He didn't care nor did he want my business. He was in fact extremely rude and I was insulted at the fact that that discriminative old fat useless excuse for a professional basically told me that I wasn't welcome in there because of my age! The truth is he doesn't know me or anything about me. I guarantee I am more of a decent man then him. Judging by his grumpy attitude toward me for no real reason besides the fact of my age I would say he has a pretty boring existence but I don't feel sorry for the guy it's really no excuse. So heres the question, Customer Satisfaction? Well if they would let you take more than a few steps in the store you would know but I don't. Best, Shaun

I have known the folks at Kings since 1960. They are tops in gunsmithing. I grew up with them and learned a lot. They are knowledgeable and effective. Outstanding people. My highest recommendation!
