Autumn is a premier colorist. She does amazing work --it's all she does and she does it brilliantly--designing color to fit with your skin and eyes. She will ever so gently deter you from making horrible mistakes and is great at correcting color. My hair looks fabuloso after she does her magic--and the way she balances highlights and lowlights makes my thin hair look fuller. She is an unsung talent on the hair scene.

I had a shiatsu massage from Ana and she was fantastic! Very strong hands, very professional. She absolutely knows what she's doing and she cares. I was offered wine and a stay at the oxygen bar as soon as I walked in, which was such an added treat. The room was quiet and I will definitely go back to Ana again.

Paula is No. 1, A++++. Every touch is gentle with enough pressure to work out your entire body. Every touch is done with care and preciseness. When she walks on you, it is so gentle, it doesn't feel like she's walking on you. Her customer service is unsurpassable. She treats her clients like royalty. She doesn't have to, but that is her way. She is Outstanding...I go to Spa Bar to have Paula's magical treatment. Highly recommended!!!!

Spa Bar is a gift. I had experienced a hair nightmare elsewhere, and was referred here by a friend.
My haircolorist is so talented. You will also find backup experts and scheduling is very easily accommodated.
What a great place to go to, very professional and yet very warm and welcoming. I recommend Spa Bar 110% and worth every penny.

I love this place. I have been going to lamai for years. I travel from Tracy just to get my eyebrows waxed. I wont let anyone besides her touch my eyebrows. She is the best and my before and after pictures prove it. Her facials are great too. I would recommend this place to anyone and I always do. Most of my friends see Lamai as well!

I had my eyebrows waxed for yrs and I either had them too thin or no shape what so ever!
Well, now my eyebrows are FAB, thanks to Lamai, she does an incredible job!
It's been 4 yrs now and I am still going!
I highly recommend her for waxings!

My first massage at Spa Bar was from a gift certificate a while back. It was wonderful. In addition to the great quality of work by these very experienced CMTs, the whole place has a great feel to it. It's one of my favorite ways to unwind or reward myself for all the work I do M-F. I can't recommend this place enough.

Oscar is an artist and creates a style that works with who you are...he is able to do both color and cut which is hard to find these days... He?s very down to earth and makes you feel immediately comfortable, he listened carefully to me and understood I wanted a great style and color that would be simple to maintain. I?ve gone to many other stylists who do what seems like a nice job, but when I leave the salon, I can never get my hair to look the same way. Oscar?s so talented, that it?s easy to get my hair to look the same way as it did at the salon. He also showed me how to style my hair with several different looks ? He?s the best stylist I?ve ever been to! Thanks, Oscar!

For a while, my friend had been telling me I should check out Spa Bar...that I HAVE to try out Paula or Ruby for Thai massage. I never bothered because I've been going to a really great therapist at another spa in my neighborhood. Finally my friend gave me a gift certificate =] so I booked with Paula.

**note: they both get busy so don't be surprised if you can't get in within a week of calling, especially for an evening (they're open until 10!) or Saturday appointment.

OH MAN what a massage...It was definitely something I'd never experienced before. She walked on my back, stretched me and cracked me all over. I want to learn Thai massage now! Paula's so sweet too. "Come once a week. I teach you!" I wish I could come once a week. If I could afford it, I would. The price is definitely worth it!!

For any of my friends that are in need of a an exceptional haircut, I would highly recommend my stylist, Oscar De La Torre Andrade. I found him over a year ago, working at a place far below his talents and I followed him as he relocated to Spa Bar. I grew up around salons, my mother was a stylist for 42 yeas. So I can recognize a quality cut and a reputable salon. Oscar is really in his element now that he is working at Spa Bar, a clean, spacious environment, tranquil surroundings, professional yet friendly receptionist, pleasing staff and gracious owner. Oscar listens to me, yet adds his own expertise and the results are always awesome. I have a lot of hair and a strong cowlick but Oscar manages to tame it and keeps me looking my best even as it grows out, not an easy feat. I am a father of three boys, and I bring the whole family to Oscar, I have watched him finish up on female patrons before me and he does an equally great job with long hair as well. Oscar is very amiable and energetic and always ready to please. His shampoos are terrific! I suggest that you give him a try, you may be impressed like I was, and write a complimentary review as well

I am an avid spa goer and I recently had a facial w/ Thy and she was amazing! Her massage was very relaxing and my skin was glowing for days! I highly recommend the Rescue facial. I have also seen her for brazilian waxes and she is fast and makes the whole experience as painless as it can be. Parking can be a little difficult but they offer valet parking across the street. The spa is nice and modern and the rooms are minimal in decor, but warm feeling. I will definitely be going back!

I got a hair cut that was one and 1/2 inches longer on one side than the other. The cut was really bad and he left it looking like roadkill. Beware!

It's impossible that this place received all these glowing recommendations - I'm convinced they were written by their management. I tried Spa Bar twice based on what I read here - first time for facial and second time for massage. Very disappointed both times. I get them on a regular basis and therefore can tell whether those were experienced hands. Unfortunately they were not. My back hurt the same night after the massage. My facial finished in a rush and my pores/texture remained the same the next day which proved to me it was not a high quality facial. Staff were superficial and seemed rush.

Thai massage is new to me, so I suppose I cannot really compare to other masseuses, but the massage I just received from Ruby was the best massage I have ever had - and I am a spa junkie. It was a wonderful combo of deep tissue, shiatsu and stretching. Ruby has a wonderful demeanor. She has amazingly strong hands for such a little person! I don't think I can go anywhere else now. Spa Bar and Ruby are it. The only drawback is that there are no changing rooms/showers for before/after.

This was my first facial in the city, and it was just ok. Their prices are average. The atmosphere is great, very relaxing, the face massage was great, but the cleaning was just average. It didnt even seem like I have had a facial. I was disappointed and I will look for another service next time.

Took my friend here for her birthday. one woman did both of our pedicures and spent a long time, doing a great job. The receptionist was fery friendly and kept asking if we'd like more wine :) [complimentary] definately worth the steep price.

I moved to the city a year ago and the thought of trying to find a new hair stylist seemed dauntinguntil I met Perry. After my first visit I was hooked. Perry has been my stylist for over a year now and every time I leave the salon I feel gorgeous. Perry is exceptional! He is very friendly and he always listens to any thoughts/concerns I may have about a particular style. He is also very honest (in a nice way) and can suggest alternate ideas if he thinks a particular haircut will not look great on you. Go see Perry and youll leave looking like a million bucks.

The estheticians here are amazing, and in particular Sandi. I've been going to Sandi for over a year and she is consistently good and I feel relaxed and my skin looks GREAT after I see her. She is very knowledgeable about skin and wellness in general and Spa Bar uses great product lines. Definitely see Sandi if you want glowing skin!!

After many starts and stops with hair and color stylists here in San Francisco, over the past 6 years, my search is over. I happened to stumble upon Perry, after my hair/color stylist moved to Yuba City :( On a friend's recommendation, I had gone to spa-bar, and received a mediocre mani-pedi, but decided to give them another try, as I was desperately looking for a new stylist. I found Perry, and after my first visit over a year ago, I've never looked back!
Perry is an artist.
Perry listens to your concerns, works with you(not against you, like so many stylists out there), and truly strives to give you the best color and cut.
Perry is a consumate professional, and I feel one of SF's most talented hair stylist/colorist shining stars.
Run, don't walk to see Perry!

The reviewer sounds like an online troll, or someone with an axe to grind against Perry....dare I say, the reviewer seems to harbor professional jealousy?
Perry is still the best, and trust me, I'm utterly picky. Perry is a consumate professional, who is warm, humble, genuine and very down to earth. I have referred people to him, for his services, and I'll continue to. Shame on "butchedhair" for the bogus review.

This place is close to where I work (2nd/Folsom). The staff is SO friendly. They're open until 10!! It's a beautiful facility...and Sirina's Thai massage: AWESOME. It was exaclty the refresher I needed mid-work week.

I first came to Spa Bar for a small business private party. That evening I was treated to a facial--the best I'd ever had and I've had a lot. Ask for Lamai. Extractions were very thorough, but so gentle. I was really impressed with the overall service and the environment so I scheduled a massage and hair appointment for the following week. My swedish massage with Janel was awesome and I walked out that day with the exact honey shade of highlights I asked of Autumn. A blowdry/style (not just a quick blow out) after a color service is complimentary, which was really nice. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a one stop shop that's excellent in quality while still very warm and comfortable (not snobbish)

I am the type of guy who always get the same traditional, old school cut at the same near by barber shop. My friend introduced me to Spa Bar and advised a shorter, cleaner cut style that is professional, yet modern. I've also upgraded to quality hair products offered at Spa Bar, which to my surprise, really make a difference compared to target branded products. Spa Bar has a friendly environment that invites all - even the skeptical/shy male.

I heard of Spa Bar because they sponsored the Hatwalk for Cancer Awareness dinner goodwill event and fashion show. I was happily surprised as a model that professional makeup artists and hair stylists took care of us back stage. They did such a great job and made everyone look fabulous for the show. I was very impressed with the customer service of the staff and the range of services Spa Bar offers. It's a one stop shop for spas, facials, highlights and cuts, manicures and pedicures and massages! Great place to bring your mom or girlfriends cause you'll leave feeling like a million bucks! Plus, they offer gift certificates so it's a great gift idea too.

It's difficult to find a salon that does cuts and hair coloring right. I'm now a loyal customer of Spa Bar because they are great stylists and advises the lastest trends according to what looks good on you. I always leave happy and satisifed about my new do and hair color. It's nice to know that bad haircut days are over! :)

On a whim, my friend brought me to Spa Bar for a Thai massage. I didn't know what to expect. The offer of a glass of wine from the friendly staff was a pleasant suprise. Then when time came for the massage, I was pulled, pushed, stretched, and muscles massaged to the ultimate relaxation level. I now am a great fan of the Thai style massage and Spa Bar!!!

OMG....Is it a massage or is it a facial!?! Spa Bar facials rocks! In their facials where other places leave you by yourself while the mask is setting, the good people at Spa Bar gives you the most incredible head, neck and shoulder massage. It was awesome! Now I know the the perfect place to take care of my face while getting a wonderful massage at the same time. Spa Bar takes facials to the next level! I highly recommend them!

Mauricio is simply AMAZING! I was one of the models at the recent GenArt Fashion Show and Mauricio styled my hair for the show! The hair was chic, sexy and had a little bit of a funky edge to it.....everyone love, love, loved it!!! So much so, that after the show I got two modeling gigs from it, one for a national advertising campaign. Ever since the show, I only let Mauricio touch my hair for both cut and color.

Spa Bar just rocks! I'm a little bit of a spa junkie. I'm new to the area and I found Spa Bar on CitySearch. What impresses me most, besides being really cool (Oxygen Bar and comp. wine), is that all of the service providers are soooo good! This, believe me, is hard for me to say, but it's true. My cut and color is fabulous, the facials are out of this world, and the massages are to die for! On top of all of this is the price....totally reasonable. They even have valet parking across the street! What more can you ask for!

Getting your hair colored is not a matter to be taken lightly. I was only persuaded to try Perry after coming to spa bar for over a year and seeing his clients leave with the most gorgeous color. It was hard for me to stray from my original but getting my color done with some subtle highlights didn't leave me feeling false at all. Perry worked with my natural hair and skin tone and created a color that brought out more warmth to my face. Perry is the best colorist I've had and I recommend him to anyone who wants great color done.

Everyone knows the perfect shape eyebrows can complete your look, and Spa Bar has thee best eyebrow waxers in the city...bar none. Lamai and Marisa are the best! After getting my eyebrows screwed up at another local spa...I thought I was going to die. I even contemplated shaving them all off and getting permanent eyebrow makeup. Spa Bar was recommended by a friend so I gave them a last ditch effort. And boy did they come through. A lot of time was spent with me to create a corrective waxing program, and after a few sessions, over a few months, I'm proud to say that my eyebrows have never been better. Believe me, you won't find anyone better than the fabu folks at Spa Bar.

My sister took me to my first facial at Spa Bar. I didn't know what to expect. The facialist was excellent in guiding me through each step of the facial process. I never knew a facial would do so much for my face. I love Spa Bar and am very grateful to the whole experience. Spa Bar is now on my lists of things to continue to do.

This was the great opportunity for me to "bond" with my three nieces. I brought them for treatments - for some it was their first, for others not. The best thing is that everyone LOVED their facial, massage, manicure/pedicure pamperings. The staff was friendly, passionate and patient!

I have been a client at Spa-Bar for over a year now, and highly recommend them over any other salon I have visited up to this point. Spa-Bar has a very comfortable atmosphere that I have not found at any other Salon. They do every type of service which makes it nice and easy, you don't have to run all over the city to get all the services you want. All of the services providers have also made me stay with Spa-Bar, not only are the experienced professionals but they always make me feel welcomed and comfortable.

Spa Bar by far has the best collection of estheticians. I've been going to Spa Bar for the past year and I've seen Marisa, Sandi, Lamai and Colleen. All of them are professional, highly skilled, and soothing. I'm sure most of you know seeing someone else at your favorite spa can be a nightmare, but rest assured at Spa Bar you'll get consistent great service. Give any of them a try and you won't be disappointed!

Having travelled to Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan and locally in Napa, I've had many a massage. However, nothing beats the massage I had right here in home town SF. I had a very sore neck and shoulder and decided to try the Spa Bar, a couple of blocks from my office. I had Paula for a 60 minute Thai massage. She is incredible; best massage I've ever had, bar none!

My Swedish Massage by Kate was the best I've ever had! She was professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and very aware of how to make a massage "just right." She really identified and helped relax my areas of tension. I was in heaven the entire time. An hour is not enough! The spa overall was great and the staff made me feel very welcome--even as a backpacking tourist. My only regret is that I don't live in the Bay Area and can't go every week!
