Versailles Restaurant

This is THE BEST Cuban food restaurant in the city and when you arrive you will know it. From the second you view the line out front to the moment the delectable food hits your mouth. To think food this good could be so inexpensive!

Versailles Restaurant is pretty much the most famous Cuban restaurant(s) in Los Angeles and most people can't stop singing it's praises. To be honest, I just don't think it is that great. The chicken is..ok...for some reason it tastes a little off to me like the quality of the meat is not the best. However, the black beans and rice are really good and so is the bread.

Versailles has the best cuban food on the west side. it is authentic and has great prices and very good service. I highly recommend it to anyone that likes cuban!

This place is easy to miss unless you know how tasty the food is. I never had Cuban food till I had Versailles and it's delicious. My favorite dish here seems to be everyone else's favorite too... the chicken in garlic sauce. They give you a giant piece of chicken, soaking in their famous sauce. YUM. Comes with rice, beans, and plantains... I never would have thought garlic sauce over rice with plantains would be a good combo but it IS! I think I have to go get some now, writing this made me hungry.

PROS: Quick service, inexpensive
CONS: Small restaurant, difficult parking

There are several locations of Versailles but I rarely have to wait in line at this one. It is smaller than their location on Venice but the food tastes the same to me. However, they often serve the most delicious chocolate cake at this location, which can be found on their specials if you are lucky. They are probably best known for their garlic lemon chicken, which is almost a whole chicken!
