Uc Berkeley Art Museum

This museum is located conveniently just off of campus.

It showcases a lot of great modern pieces and is very attractive.

Definitely a great place to bring the family and friends.

I really like this museum because it lets the whole family or even just children enjoy this place to its fullest. They have a lot of ancient art that is there and what i think to be the best part about this museum is that they let people come here for free but only once a month though. It lets you know that not only people with money can enter and learn but people who are unfortunate can also come to look in curiousity as well.

The University of California at Berkeley's art museum, located between bancroft and durant streets boasts the occasional excelent display of great artwork. This does not mean that they are consistantly good, unfortunately, but it is, at the very worst, free to the student population here, so that is decidedly more of a pro than a con.

Uc Berkeley Art Museum in my opinion is excellent. It has so much great paintings and is located like what it is name Berkeley. The environment it gives off it wonderful and it feels like if your at home there. The inside of the museum is like that also and the size is somewhat big with many different type of paintings there.

just like it's surrounding university, the UC Berkeley Art Museum houses unique, yet liberal, art pieces and artists. Known for their untraditional art pieces and installations, the museum can carry anything from modern art to portraits of black panther activists. It's a great place to go if you have time to kill. you won't regret it.

I would highly recommend the art museum to everyone, especially Cal students because of the discount. The rotating exhibits so it's not always the same. That keeps the museum "fresh" so everytime you go you truely see something you've never seen before. The permenant displays are also amazing. It makes you ponder hard when you think about how old some of the artifacts are. My only warning about the museum is parking. My advice would be to park and walk up to the museum. Everyone should go once!

The Berkeley art museum is cool becaus ethey have a permanant collection of beautiful antiquiteis like ceramics that are so old it's just cool to be in their presence and imagine the history behind them! Plus they have a rotating contemporary show in the bottom space and then they have another gallery called the Matrix gallery which usually has very contemporary shows.

I have visited this museum a couple of times. It is an amazing place. Many people don't know about it and its a shame. they have excellent works of art. I like the way that they have different exhibits all th etime. It keeps things interesting and makes you want to visit the museaum afgain and again. More people should visit this musuem. Its well worth it even though transportation is difficult.

The UC Berkeley art museum offers some interesting exhibits and decent pieces of art, but it doesn't provide enough, and its range in style is limited. However, they often hold temporary exhibits and even throw art parties which can be fun. The staff is engaged and dedicated to promoting art and art appreciation.

The Berkeley Art Museum is totally underrated. They haae an amazing collection of ancient, modern and contemporary works. Their collection does rotate, so it is worth checking out every few months. The architecture is also amazing and they have a great cafe to top off the entire experience. They are open late on Thursdays and once a month they are free.

PROS: Never crowded
CONS: Requires a small amount of transportation effort
