Animal Kingdom Pet Store

I purchased my boxer puppy from these folks. They are definitely in it to rip you off. You have to buy the food the dog supposedly ate.... in my case the girl tried to tell me the dog ate one brand but then a chubby middle aged lady whispered in her ear and I had to buy the more expensive dog food.

I felt like I was rescuing my pup more than just purchasing.... she hated the food they said "she ate." The vet said she was far too thin and she was lucky I bought her when I did.

He also mentioned that the dog food they recommended was not necessary....

Stand up for your rights, question their tactics and if a short middle aged chubby lady is around question her advice. She is obviously a "manager" (a.k.a there to rip you off for profit motive) and is not in it for the animals.

The owners are very nice and are very careful with what kind of animal they get and also are very conscious of the animals ages.When they buy the animal from me they ask when they were born and the type of animal that they are going to be coming for.They will not pick up any animals if they are less than 8 weeks old.As a animal breeder I can tell how old a puppy is by their teeth and size.and they deal with dogs every day they should be able to tell how old a dog or cat or any animal at that.They will not pick up a litter less than 8 weeks old I know this because I have delt with them for 5 years.I have also bought animals from them and have been very satisfied.

I have been "visiting" pets at this place forever. The staff is always extremely nice to talk to and if they can't answer your question they will find out for you! I have had many friends get dogs from there as well and they have always had good luck. I absolutely love this place and I would tell EVERYONE to go there.

On 6/22/07 I bought the most adorable Chihuahua. He was so tiny and cute. Looked sad and that is what I noticed first. So small and I was told he was 8wks old. Bought him, the food they recommended, the heating pad, everything. Got a copy of the vet ck that said he was fine. Took him home and he wouldn't eat, wouldn't drink, had diarrhea, and he kept throwing up. Stayed up all night with him. Took him back to the pet store on Sat. morning and they looked at him and said to buy him this medicine for low blood sugar and give it to him. I had to force him to take it with syringes I bought there also. Vet they recommended was closed (lesson one, don't buy animal out of your home town). Vet was closed on Sunday too. Sunday I drove home so I could go to my vet first thing Monday morning. Poor guy was so dehydrated and sick. Was in coma state when I took him to vet less then 3 days after I bought him. Vet said he didn't look 8 wks old yet and was taken from his mother to early. Also said he didn't think he would make it. Had to leave him there to get IV fluid and meds. After having to feed him every two hours round the clock with a syringe for a month, several visits to the vet, several hundred dollars later, and several lessons learned about buying a pet, my wonderful dog has made it and is doing much better now.I would NEVER recommend this pet store and I will NEVER buy anything from them again. The employees are very young and nice. I can't blame them. They are probably making minimum wage. They try, but just aren't trained. I blame the owners and the "vet" that probably gets paid for every heath certificate he issues. I would never trust them.

My family went to this pet shop to find a puppy and we were really impressed. They had a large selection of puppies and they were very helpful with making recommendations for vaccines, food and supplies. The puppies all looked healthy and looked like they had been well taken care of. The person who helped us really seemed like they knew what they were talking about.

Don't you just love that new puppy smell! Well this store has puppies and lots of them! In addition to puppies they also sell birds, rabbits, geneau pigs and hampsters to name a few. They also carry a full line of pet care and pet food products.
