We lost a long time sweetheart of a cat last year. It was an emotional time for our family and VCA were incredibly sensitive and understanding. For as difficult experience as it was, their professionalism and humanism was something that we'll never forget.

I searched high and low for the right vet. Sometimes it takes a while to find just the right one. Dr. Mah was heaven sent just when I needed someone to take care of my cat with kidney failure. I could not have gone through it without her and the wonderful staff at VCA Almaden. They are simply the best!

We have taken our dog, Sandi, to VCA since we brought her home at age 7 weeks. She is now almost 3.5 years old. All the vets we've seen at VCA have been caring, thorough, and wonderful with Sandi. Even more extraordinary, when we've brought her in for unusual illnesses, we always receive a follow-up phone call from the VET to see how she is doing. Most people doctors don't even do this for their patients! In a pinch we've also used VCA for boarding Sandi while we went on vacation. It's nice to know she's in good hands there while we're gone.

PROS: caring vets, convenient location
CONS: can be expensive

Our dog has gone to the VCA Almaden Valley Animal Hospital for several years. We just love Dr. Miyamoto. Our dog loves to go there and adores his veterinarian. She really seems to enjoy animals. We've gotten reasonable advice -- not too treat problems to aggressively but also not ignoring problems. They're good about communicating with us about what they want to do for the dog. Our dog has a bunch of chronic problems and they're great about understanding his history.

PROS: great veterinary care
CONS: everything costs so much

I have taken my two kitties here for awhile and have been very happy with them. They are particular about after care arrangements and very thorough with their instructions.

We've taken our cat here for 3 yearsand each time get a different Vet. Although, her care is excellent there seems to be a lot of turn over. One time we were requested to leave our cat and come back to get here, because they were too busy. Against our better judgement we did, but probly won't opt to do that again in the future.

PROS: Knowledable staff, caring and professional
CONS: Never the same Vet twice; have to leave your pet and come back.
