Balboa Pizza Place

My husband and I were in the area and hungry. We saw Balboa Pizza Place and figured we would give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised that it was so good. The service was great and the quality was awesome. I would recommend the combination pizza!

If this is the place that I'm thinking of, my husband and I used to go there about 20 years ago. We moved away and then back to San Diego and I thought it was gone.
It was a nice little intimate place, nothing fancy, terrific pizza! A lovely Italian couple used to run it. I'm going back!!!

This little pizza place is tucked away in an older plaza near Henry's. I've always seen it as I did my grocery shopping but had never eaten there. Just recently we visited it for the first time and both my husband and I were very surprised.. the pizza was pretty darn good! The restaurant looks like it actually takes up two store locations so it is spacey... our waitress was nice and our pizza didn't take long at all. It reminds me of the old pizza places from when I was younger... it is not in the prettiest of environments but the pizza and service were very good!
