This place always makes me smile when I come in, there are Chianti bottles hanging from every inch of the ceiling and the checkered table clothes are just what you would expect. There pizza is out of this world and pretty cheap to but I never venture far off the pizza part of the menu because the rest is not that special. However if your looking for fun and good pie you found it.

Really good italian food! It' cheap but the food is great. A restaraunt where many locals go. A very short walk to the Pacific Beach Pier. Fun place to take kid also because you can ask for pizza dough to play with.

This is a real Italian restaurant. It is a family owned and they have their own secret recipe on how to make their pizza that only the family and chef knows. The staff is really friendly. Their pizza is amazing and their pasta is great! If you want to be a real Italian you have to try their Anti-pasta, it rocks!

The decor is very cool with autographed chianti bottles hanging all over. The pizza was amazing! Some of the best we have ever had. It is a bit cramped, but no one seemed to care. Plus, they give kids a small ball of pizza dough to play with while you wait for your food. That, in itself, was worth it for my family!

I like the diversity you find on the menu at Filippi's Pizza Grotto. Besides traditional pizza, they offer a full menu on the pasta and dinner side as well. Great eggplant parmigiana!
