I had the pleasure of feasting with the owner at this wonderful neighborhood restaurant. We sampled a variety of dishes of which none were disappointing.
I can't wait to go back for more!

Good food, good service, good price. I just went here the other day and I had a good experience. No 5 stars only because there was no WOW factor.

I've been there about a half dozen times, and like the food a lot, but the service is very sloppy.

I usually have to ask for water two or threes times. Usually the waitress seems to disappear after taking the order. Tonight there was a minor problem, and it took me ten minutes to flag her down.

The restaurant manager needs to work out a lot of kinks--the food and drinks are waaay too expensive given the inattentive service.

I like the atmosphere there, but it's loud even when half empty. Sometimes they need to turn the volume down to eleven or so during sports events--no one seemed to be watching, and the tv isn't actually visible from most places away from the bar anyway. Decide whether it's a sports bar or a scene-ster haunt.

I guess I wouldn't go back if i didn't live in the neighborhood.

I used to frequent this place a lot with my girlfriends but after a while it became a bit too much. The owner of this place makes this place undesirable, isn?t that pathetic? He is always drunk bragging about what he has or not and is always trying to pick me and my girlfriends up offering us drinks that we don?t want; we can pay for our own, thank you! He tried to kiss my girlfriend, unbelievable! We had to leave.

One day I saw the chef getting into a fight right outside the restaurant with the bartender, talk about drama in that place. I can?t wait for this place to change owners so I can start going again. I live right around the block and it?s sad I can?t have a place to hang in my own neighborhood. The food is great for a bar and the selection of beers is great.

I love third stop!!! Although I am a connoisseur of the barley and hops, I let the beer babes create a path of personal strategic intoxication based on their suggestions. Their pizza is outstanding and the ahi burger is phenomenal. I met the owner once and he was one of the nicest guys I've ever met!

However, their manager Camilla is a total bi#$ch!!! I visit third stop about twice a week and tried to plan my birthday party there. Although my friends are alcoholics and I'm a regular, Camilla would only reserve tables for me with a $35 per person minimum. Considering their beer is beyond reasonable at $6 a glass, each of my friends has to drink 96 ounces of high potency beer! WTF!!! This is not only BS, this is irresponsible!!!

I was a big fan of the 3rd stop when their prices were a little cheaper and they had some really great people working there. Their current Happy Hour starts at 5 p.m. and a few selected beers are $4 + tax/tip.
The food on Happy Hour, especially the mini sliders and pizzas are delicious for $7 each.
They do have great beers on tap but the beer prices and food prices have went up and it isn't always fun there.

My friend lives in the neighbor and remembers coming here a while back when it was more of a bar/pub type place. After looking @ the menu he noticed that the menu had changed considerably. Nice selection on the menu but we had no idea what was good and we were TOO hungry to take a big risk.

We hailed down Diedra, the waitress, and she saved the day. She recommended the lamb shank and the kobe burger for my friend. WOW.. the food was fantastic!! We also had the beef skewer as an appetizer.. hmm tender, flavorful.. it was delicious! Would definitely recommend this place. The service was key for us. Diedra was friendly, knowledgeable and funny!! We loved her.

If you are in the neighbor, I would highly recommend this place. Oh ya, the Nutella pizza with berries for desert.. DELICIOUS!!! This gets five stars for service and food!!

We've been coming here regularly for the past year. Chill ambiance. crowd can be a little yuppyish. Beer selection is the best and reasonably priced considering the area. food is good but inconsistent. wait staff can be flaky but friendly for the most part. Doorman is smug but the Manager rocks.

As the last poster noted, things are pretty much back to normal. The beer selection is great. They have table service restored. The food is darn good for "bar food". Personally I don't think the wine selection is "all that", but what they have is certainly drinkable, and....you don't come here for wine. It's a BEER BAR! As for the complaints about the prices.....uh you are still talking about a place straddling Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.....

So, I've begun frequenting this place again after what seems to have been a lengthy spat with the LA ABC. All of the bar stools are back, as are a few HOT new bartender/waitresses. And low and behold, a fresh new menu! The pizzas are still there, but now they have(GASP)specials, too. So far I've had the spicy tuna sandwich on a ciabatta roll, and the perfectly portioned lasagna(I think it actually fresh, and not Stouffer's). But they also have some traditional apps, like mozzarella sticks, and nachos. There's also a RIDICULOUS wine selection that compliments the massive beer list. The girl I was with loved that pink wine(it's a chilled one, don't ask me the name). The music has gotten better too. There's a nice mix of alternative rock, and sometimes bearable pop music. I did hear the old "hair metal" mix, last week, but hey, it was nostalgic. It gets busy as hell from time to time like it used to, and sometimes there's a wait, but the guys at the door aren't jerks. Someone told me that they are brothers(yeah, right). I came in with 4 friends 2 weeks ago, and we waited about 15-20 minutes, but the guy who's been there awhile really seemed to try and get us in there as fast as he could, giving us updates every 2 minutes. But hey, who doesn't have to wait to get into a cool place from time to time? So what, you can't sit/stand anywhere you damn well please. Whenever it was busy before, you just had to make do anyway. Will it ever be like it was? Probably not. Am I glad it's pretty close, with some adjustments? You bet your a** I am!

Commenting on the last post, I have a feeling that the post was made by the same Moron yelling at the cops to say the least!!!!!!
Complying with the ABC was one thing, changing the entire organization, another.
How ABC thinks about an establishment run by a drunk, with the rationality of a 5th grader? That?s the real question.
I guess survival mode and desperation will lead to self posting.....pitiful.

In response to the prior post, from what I understand, the changes are the result of discipline by the ABC. Not sure what happened, although it wouldn't surprise me if it were related to someone from management yelling at a cop, but it's a temporary problem and the owners are working on fixing it. Keep supporting the bar and hopefully the ABC will lift these dumb restrictions.

Great Pub with a great selection if beers, in fact if you've never had the pleasure of trying a hitichino nest i recommend a stop by there immediately.

ARE THE PRICES A LITTLE STEEP?....yes (but what do you expect it's on the west side a block away from robertson....duh. plus it's comparable to anything else anywhere near there and beats most on price)

ARE THE STAFF/BARTENDERS GOOD?....you bet your ass(always willing to give you beer recomendations and when i went for happy hour the other day, i got a free pizza with my beer!?! Not to mention the ladies who work there are beautiful :^) )

DO THEY PLAY WAY TOO MUCH PEARL JAM, VAN HALEN, AND OTHER DAD 90'S ROCK?.....lord yes! (I will cry if i hear "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam one more time in there. No joke)

SHOULD YOU STOP BY THERE EVER AND HAVE BEER?....for sure.

This was by far my favorite pub in the neighborhood -- Village idiot is horrible by comparison- but lately what happened ? the new booths are the worst they make it feel stiff and boring. Don't they know that what made it get was that it was PUB are they idiots now the cool he bartenders are now waiters? I liked the easy way it was before now it is no fun. Finally I am appalled that the owner had a shouting match with the cops last week in the middle of the place in front of customers -- thats a real smart - Im sure its not long before the L A PD gets its pay back on that moron.

What happened to my favorite place? All the staff is so cool so I can only say the owners must not know what they are doing RUINING A GOOD THING

one more thing I agree about the music who picked the list sometimes its cool indie rock (which is great) and other times its the worst 90's music. Its like some old guy decided what he thought would be cool. And its always so loud

I reluctantly go to the 3rd Stop once every week, as it is a happy hour that is centrally located among my friends. I would much prefer to go to Village idiot where pints are at least one to two dollars cheaper and the food is significantly better. The more I go to the 3rd Stop- the more disappointed I am with everything they offer. I hate spending so much money on such poor quality. Oh and I don't want to forget to say that the service is awful!!! You might notice some of them drinking on the job.

The pizzas are fine and I hate to admit it, but CPK is a better alternative. Honestly I would pass on this bar/restaurant... I am just hoping that the patrons start demanding higher quality.

I liked The 3rd Stop. The food was decent (delicious and simple) but what I found really interesting was there selection of brews on tap. They had some of my favorites, like Fat Tire and Guinness, but the majority of the list was new to me. It was a really nice change. The bartenders were pleasant, knowledgable and full of good suggestions. This place was a good place to meet up with a group of people, hangout and catch up. However, I can definately see how it can get noisy when crowded. It was pretty noisy and the place was practically empty because it was a sunday.

The idea of a Tap Beer joint is very compelling in LA (The Other Room is by far the best, and one of the best bars in general), but the way it's pulled off here is deplorable. No waitresses, so you must always go to the bar to order. Everytime they ask you your name - and often it's too loud to understand your long name. The way they look at you is either a thousand yard stare or slightly irked by your presence. I don't know what everyone is loving on this menu - the sausage burger is so ill conceived (or prepared) it had, what is known in the business, terrible "mouth feel." The pizzas seem inventive, but they are crafted by someone who used to work at Szabo at the Beverly Center - really! No character too them at all. I honestly was uncomfortable at this place and felt my presence was part of some joke of the owners. The doorman was hysterical too - sometimes he was at the door, and when he was, he was peforming the menial task of cleaning ashtrays. Often he wasn't; I guess this is a bar for you under 21s to scope out (he usually walks away with one of the employees for about 5 minutes so just hang out on the corner and you'll be in in 15). The first bartender was either drunk or careless; he was most interested in the Television. Speaking of, NO ONE was watching the TV's above the bar (we asked all those in our vicinity if they were, and if they didn't mind us changing them - or just one - to the Dodger game) so we asked the bartender. She explained it was impossible for her to change them, out of some in-house courtesy between employees (something about Hockey games and..) In any event, her solution was for us to turn around from the bar - an unnatural position as you can picture - and look at one of the tiny televisions which already had the game on. Can you see how this all adds up to my not really feeling welcome? Like many places, the kitchen probably doesn't eat thier own creations; if they did, nothing would be prepared so disapointingly.

This place just keeps getting better... I was at 3rd stop for a birthday party a month or so ago and had such a great night. There is a great mix of people - mostly mid 20's - mid 40's... all just really friendly and cool plus they play a very familiar mix of old and new songs we all know and love . It's like you're at a place on the east coast, there's just no L.A. b.s. They have more than 25 beers on tap and the staff is really helpful in helping you walk through the extensive list. When I went the other day I was shocked to find out that they have a new consulting chef (I thought the food was good before). His name is Claude Segal and he's quite famous and well respected I hear. Well his dishes are INCREADIBLE!!!. They were specials in addition to the regular menu the night I was there but you have to order the Miso Cod and the Crispy shimp. I can't tell you how cool it was to order gourmet food in a pub filled with nice fun people. And the prices are very reasonable - all are small plates and somewhere around $12 - there are still lots of items for less - like $8. A must for a fun night of good food and friends!

My boyfriend and I were visiting L.A. and this place was perfect for our first night in town. The food was great, I loved the small plates and it was an awesome place to people-watch! We will definitely come back the next time we're in town!

Pros: Great beer selection

Cons: Not very cozy, but tons of fun!

Just what the neighborhood needed - from its welcoming interior to its inviting sidewalk tables to the tremendous variety of beers on tap to the scrumptious menu. The Third Stop has all the perfect qualities for a great restaurant experience - something LA lacks. Wether its two or ten of you, going for lunch or out on the weekend, I would recommend it for either! Not to mention the great soundtrack and the friendly owners, who you definately shouldn't hesistate to ask for a beer recommendation - I did and found my new favorite!

Looking for an all-star beer line-up? My friends, you have just found your jackpot.

3rd Stop is a mix of all things you love in a local pub... savory eats, a charming bar staff, and a selection of import & local brews made for champions.

The atmosphere is quite inviting & filled with a blend of fun patrons who seem to already know each other in the first place. If that's not the case, it very well might be by night's end.

The bar motto is marked on the bar backdrop as you walk in --- it reads, "Stop Thinkin, Start Drinkin"
Say no more, my glass is ready.

Try the creamy mashed potatoes; they are a heaven of its own. And save room for dessert... the hazelnut nutella pizza will make your heart melt.

This bar wasn't ahlf bad, although the service was fairly slow and the beer selection was surprisely limited. The most unfortunate aspect of this bar though is you need to make sure your receipt matches your credit card bill. They charged my card for significantly more than my receipt shows. Be wary of this place.

I love the 3rd Stop! My husband and I dine there regularly. They have great beer selections and wonderful small plate menu choices. The filet of sole with capers is delish. If you like mashed potatoes you MUST try them at the 3rd Stop. They are amazingly creamy and good. The sausage burger, fries, polenta, shrimp are all delicious. I've had almost everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The service is polite and attentive. The place in general is not pretentious although I did spy some french tips and Louis Vuitton bag there last time I went. Don't worry though, I expect the 3rd Stop to maintain it's neighborhood charm and casual-ness.

Cons: Parking is scarce

I love their huge selection of beers, for only $5 each. I have to watch myself when I'm there because of the temptation to try them all! The food is wonderful too, especially the pizzas and the seared ahi tuna. Parking can be difficult to find and we usually end up having to use the valet because there's nothing available on the street. It would be nice if they opened earlier on weekends.

It is nice to have a good neighborhood spot on 3rd street west of La Cienega. This is a great place to just kick back and have a beer and smoe food. The prices are totally reasonable especially considering other places on this section of 3rd. I would suggest that they open earlier on Saturday and Sunday for sporting events. They are leaving money on the table!

The selection of beers is great, the food is fantastic (the pizzas and burger are the best around), and the staff are attentive and competent. It's a pizza and beer joint for foodies, without the frat boy crowd that's drawn to Father's Office. It can get a little bit overwhelmed on a Friday night, but there's almost always a place to sit outside.

The beer selection is very good, and very reasonably priced. It's also nice that you can sit outside and enjoy your beer while looking at a couple of the Cedar-Sinai buildings. The food is pretty good, the pizzas are tasty. Definitely a good place to go after work, especially if you work at Cedar-Sinai because it is right across the street.

Three of us went on a thursday evening. You order at the bar and then find a table...we waited and waited and there were no tables available. We finally shared a table with another party. The food was amazing though, and the beer I had was really good too.

From a chilled place to this in a year, that must hurt.
The Green B on the window is saying that Basically nobody takes care of this place, I've heard that employees were fighting in front of the place few days ago and that both Manager and chef left that night....
Where are you going guys??.
Can you please stop advertising the Euro Cup.it has been over for week.
Wish you will be caring a bit more...cause i used to love to come here.

i actually dont drink, but went with my friends who do, and who were impressed by the selection of beers. I am writing to wholeheartedly reccommend the menu...my friends loved the pizza, and even though it was the most i had ever paid for a burger, it was SOO GOOD that i had to go back a week later to repeat!!!! It is perfectly spiced and condimented...just delicious!

If you like good beer and friendly service this place is for you! They have a massive selection of rare beers on tap and everything on the food menu is under $10. The food is standard pub food, but the pizzas are pretty good. The two owners work the bar and really know the beers on tap. Best part is that all the rare expensive beers are set at $5 a pour!!! I still do not know how you can make money at that price. The patrons are a mixed batch of professionals looking for good beer after a hard days work. Love this place and love the beer! Happy hour has free pizza from 4-6pm.

The East Side finally has it's own "great food/amazing draught beer" joint. The burger can't beat Father's Office, but the pizzas are terrific, with perfect thin crusts. And the dessert pizzas are unreal. How can this place be half empty on a Saturday night?! Go before it's discovered.
