I've had shoes serviced here in the past. The results were decent- not great. The service was bearable- never friendly or welcoming.. I called today to ask about leather protectants for a new handbag and was appalled by the rude and sarcastic man on the phone. I would suggest that in the future if they want to stay in business, they find less offensive employees. I would drive to Sacramento to find another repair shop before I would ever go back to Roseville Shoe Repair. I guess when your goal in life is to repair other peoples shoes, you have a right to be cocky..amazing! I wouldn't have given this even one star, but it made me.

I have a party to attend on 9/25,I want to wear my boots but 1 on the heels tips were gone.I "googled" shoe repair in Roseville & saw this place was close to my job...I went in on my lunch to have it fixed. The guy did it in less than 5mins. & the price was only $9.00...he was super nice & explained to me why the boot wore out in such a short time.. I went back to work & told everybody...I was worrying that the price wouldn't be affordable or that it would take too long...to sum it up...they made my day!!!

I recently was in search of a shoe repair place to fix my friends leather purse strap. I was a little hesitate after reading the previous review. But the store was close and how bad can they screw up sewing on a strap.
When I enter the store, the younger guy acted like he was doing me a favor by greeting me. I showed him the purse and told him what was needed to repair the strap. He said no he couldn't do it. Ok, so I left. Later my friend called and talked to the young kid and asked why they couldn't repair the strap. He said, he did not want to explain to the guy that brought it in, because they never understand. What the heck was that about? He must think all guys are stupid!! I could not believe what I heard.
So take your business elsewhere, run the other way. Now I would not even trust them to sew up a leather strap on a purse. Gee business must be so good, they don't need any more customers!!

On Saturday, February 9th, 2008 I took a pair of boots in to be resoled. My concern was not for the wear of the sole, but the "look" of it. These boots were motorcycle boots that fit my foot well but I wanted a lug sole on them, instead of the plain, smooth sole it originally had. I PREPAID $65 after the clerk showed me the lug soles that would be put on my boots. They were a Vibram Lug Sole and EXACLTY what I wanted on my boot. I was told they were very busy so my boots would take a week. All good so far.

One week later, on the morning of February 16th, I received a call from the shop stating that my boots were NOT ready and they needed until Tuesday, February 19th. I said that was no problem, as I was not in a huge rush for them. Everything was still good.

On Wednesday, February 20th, I went to the shop to pick up my boots. The boots had a different sole from the one I paid for (the Vibram Lug Sole) AND had a sole that looked very similar to the one I had replaced. When I pointed this out to the clerk he "informed" me that this sole they'd opted for, completely without my consent, was "much better" and what I "really wanted". When I told him that the lug sole was what I really wanted and therefore what I asked for, he insinuated that I was "wrong about that" and I needed to just "give these a try." He never gave a reasonable explanation of why they made the switch!

So my net experience was this: I WASTED $65 and waited a week and a half to get back boots that looked no different than when I left them. Also, for my money I got the displeasure of being told that I didn't know what I wanted.

Save your money and take your shoes and boots to shop that will perform the services promised!!!

I have gone here a few times to get my shoes repaired. There service is quick and inexpensive. It only took them a few days to repair the problem my shoes had. The employees are friendly. The store is clean and organized. The windows and doors are free of smudges. There is plenty of parking.
