Clark Nova

i started going to Martina at clark nova 3 years ago and i won't go anywhere else. she's incredibly "charismatic" (i would use another word but citysearch won't let me)--all of my guy friends who go to her think so, and she's not traditionally "LA". there's just something about her...

plus, getting my hair done there is so much fun! it's seriously a social event every time i go. my friend karen and i often book appointments together and while karen's highlights are setting i get my hair cut and we all just chat and have fun. we've even had small parties there--3 of us once had appointments together and brought mimosas and pastries. and invited everyone to partake!

karen's boyfriend went to martina for the first time and LOVED her! he got so many compliments on his new haircut that he swore he would "never go to supercuts again!" not the most credible endorsement given the source, but greg loves martina as much as karen and i do and he's not easily impressed.

of course everyone else at clark nova is great, but i'm biased toward martina. she's the best :)

Pros: everything!
Cons: parking is hit-or-miss. it's not terrible, but it's LA, people. don't expect to find a spot waiting for you in the front.

If anyone needs a GREAT haircut to a GREAT price, (why paying $300 for an ok haircut?) then CLARK NOVA is THE place. The owner Martina Harrer is a sweetheart and the moment you step into the door you feel the good vibes. I think Martina is one of the best hair dresser I have ever met. she knows exactly what kind of hair styles I like and discusses what would look best on me. I'm so happy I found her, a person who is professional, relaxed and friendly. And she has created a great team to work with her in this Environment.
Her hair cut costs $85.- which I think is a very fair price. I recommended several of my friends to her and everyone is so happy with their cuts, colors and highlights. I highly recommend Martina's Clark Nova

I had my hair cut and colored last week with Mick and I've never been happier (If you're reading this, Mick, 'Thank you' again). The people in the salon were pleasant and friendly and made me feel like I'd been going to Clark Nova and to Mick for years, such was the easy air about the place. I was expecting parking to be difficult because I read here it might be, but it wasn't bad at all and Mick's beautiful assistant made sure my meter was tended to.

You guys / gals really need to check this place out. Its quaint, relaxing, and proffessional all rolled into one. I usually don't like going to new places for haircuts. But a friend of mines recommended me this place and I gotta say I really really like how the end result turned out. Everyone is very friendly and willing to give you tips and suggestions on ways to improve your hair or make it however you want. They are honest too so if they think that a style you may want won't really look so good they'll let you kno and suggest something else. So go!!

Great cut. Nice place. People were friendly and my stylist took his time. I sent my girlfriend and I'll be back too. Thank you.
