decent place for some food, reminds me of the decor of china town restaurants. i like the porridge and its nice to be able to shop afterwards in the grocery store.

their preserved egg with pork porridge wasn't what i was expecting, but some of their other food is good. i dont know what it was that my friends ordered but i tried some of it and itw as good. i would recommend going here, but maybe not ordering the preserved egg with pork porridge.

This is perhaps my favorite Chinese restaurant in all of San Diego. I like this restaurant for three reasons. One, the people that work here are very honest and nice. The reason I say this is because one time I left a wallet full of credit carts and more than 200 dollars of cash and they held onto my wallet and gave me back everything in it. The second reason I like them is because the food is very quick and yummy. The third reason I like this is because the food is very inexpensive. One of my favorite dishes is the stinky tofu. Don't bag it till you tried it.

Finally--a place to eat Taiwanese food in San Diego! Contrary to what lots of people think, all Chinese food is not alike, and Taiwanese food is definetly a specialty. This is the only place I've found in our city, which serves Taiwanese dishes. They carry things like stinky tofu (a must) and have the best beef noodle soup I've ever tried. Prices are cheap ($6 for a big bowl of noodles). They also do a typical Taiwanese breakfast, complete with soybean milk, onion rolls, and fried dough. Good eating.

PROS: Taiwanese food at its best in San Diego

When we noticed an insect (it looked like a fly) in the dish, we called the owner over to see it. She stood there looking at us for a few seconds, without saying a word and just left. No replacement of the dish.
Not even an apology!! When we refused to pay for the dish, she gave us the money back with a nasty face. Still, no apology. Shortly after we left the restaurant, she came after us, told us "You people don't pay for the food you eat?" (she said it in very rude Taiwanese). We were all confused until she told us we did not pay for an appetizer which was only $2.50. We told her we intended to pay, but it is their mistake that they forgot to include that on the bill. And she replied that it is customer's job to go through the bill and point out anything missing. She then took the $3 we gave her, without giving us changes back, without a word, and just left. This is just an awful experience for us. The food tasted just OK, though high priced for the quality and definitely horrible customer service. After talking about this incident with friends, it turned out that we are not the only ones who found "insects" in the dish and greeted with poor service. You might want to think twice before you visit.

Pros: They offer many Taiwanese dishes

Cons: Poor service, poor quality of food, not clean
