Located on the 3rd floor of the mall. Small little restaurant, very good food. Typical, an assortment of ramen, teriyaki (don't get the teriyaki) and yakisobas. We like to eat here everytime we're in the area, the ramens are very good.

Very reasonably priced ramen shop on the top floor of the Little Tokyo shopping complex downtown and they have cute plastic food models on display in the front if you don't know what you want to get by just reading the menu. They have dessert that you can mix and change combination of things. Its not big but it is satisfy.

I had heard on the grapevine that the Ramen noodle soups here were excellent, so I decided to try them. There was a small wait on a Saturday morning, but nothing terrible. My companion and I were soon seated and served our drinks. Other than hot green tea, drinks are not refilled.

My companion and I ordered several dishes which we wanted to divide and sample. The staff seemed to wonder why we needed and extra bowl instead of just providing one.

The Hakata Ramen we ordered is a pork soup base accompanied by ginger, bean sprouts, seaweed, green onions, sesame seeds and bamboo, with a meager slice of pork. The soup base and the noddles were very good.

We also ordered Gomoku Ramen. This dish is soy sauced based, and a bit more elaborate than the Hakata Ramen. It has all of what the other did, but with the added bonus of fishcake, imitation crab, and boiled egg. It was an excellent tasting dish, very satisfying.

We ordered green tea ice cream and Cream Mitsuame for desert. Both were excellent and fresh.

The only real downside to the restaurant was that although the initial service was prompt, it was somewhat inconsistent, leaving my glass of water low, and not asking if I or my companion would like another Ice Tea or Coke. And the worst part was that, we felt rushed and hurried by the staff to finish our meal and move on down the line, not a good mix with a bowl of wonderful Ramen. I?d go back when the urge for Ramen hits, but I would not make it a priority in a place like Little Tokyo where good food abounds.

It was actually my first visit to Little Tokyo despite living my entire life in L.A. Me and my coworker (another Chinese American) went there to check it out. When we walked in, they told us to wait 5 minutes for seating (more like 10-15 min.). There were actually some empty tables when we went inside. Next came the nightmare. We ordered and ended waiting more than half an hour for the food to arrive. I think one of the chefs there actually comes out to help with the orders. It was obvious they knew we were Chinese from our features or something (although we were speaking with each other in English). I wanted to immediately leave, but out of my courtesy to my friend/coworker, I couldn't. It's so obvious we were discriminated against because we were Chinese. My advice is to enter at your own risk if you happen to be Chinese. I guess some old feelings never die out even decades after the war.

One of the best ramen in LA. The noodles are so good. It's tonsai yakisoba also very good. And don't forget to try the desert.
