I think it's the best because it has great food and has really nice service! I like the General Meatless Chicken and the Broccoli Beef are excellent!

I have friends who love this place; admittedly, they live a few blocks away, so it's an easy stroll, and the food isn't bad.

I just don't see how it's any better than any other Chinese restaurant. I do like their crab cheese puffs, and most of the dishes I've had have been good, but the place is small, it's in the city (I'd only go if I'm up there already; parking is non-existent), and the prices are around the median. I'd prefer slightly more food for an entree, but I'm a glutton, so that's probably just me. :)

Oh, don't drink the water. Nobody else I know really seems to notice, but I'm sensitive to the taste of water, and the water there is awful...

PROS: Decent food
CONS: Horrible water

The food is better than average dimsum at Los Angeles but nothing specatcular. The service is good as we were the first customers at 10:30am. :-p If you want better food and service, try Yank Sing.

Everything we ate was tasty (not amazing, but very good). Seemed like just what the neighborhood needed. But arriving at 10:30pm on Sun. when the place closes at 11pm apparently annoys the staff. The man who seated us seemed upset that

I've eaten at Big Lantern several times, and ordered for delivery once. Their dim sum is really great, and it's so nice to not have to head to the avenues/Geary or Chinatown for decent dim sum. The selection is really good too--pork buns

Great place to order your food in advance and pick up! Great soups and noodle dishes, too. Or drop by sometime for an early dinner on your way out and about in the Mission District. A Mission District staple!

PROS:
CONS: Valencia Street Parking...walk or take a taxi, your bike, or the bus
