This place was made for tourists. You walk around a harbor village in downtown San Diego and can buy things and eat. There's a merry go round too.

Fun store in Seaport Village that sells jewelry, trinkets, decorations and misc other items made from shells. The sea-inspired arts and crafts are so beautiful and reasonably priced.

Seaport Village is great because it has wonderful stores that are not the typical stores you'll find at the mall. I love the atmosphere and their carousel.

If you are a tourist, you have to stop by Seaport Village. Not only do they have the best restaurants here, they have the cutest local souvenier shops and you wouldn't need to go anywhere else to buy souvenirs. Every time I visit San Diego I stop by here. Don't forget your walking shoes because that is pretty much what you will be doing. Also, if you are flying in, it's not too far from the airport.

Seaport Village has been my favorite place to visit every time we come to San Diego. I love the ocean waterfront walkway, the flowers and plants, great restaurants and shops. The shops are unique--they are not what you see in a shopping mall. It's a lovely place to buy gifts and something special for yourself. The dining is wonderful. The restaurants have outdoor dining patios facing the ocean or if you prefer, you can dine indoors.
Our best pictures always come from Seaport Village.
It's fun to take a ride on the fabulous vintage cararousel.
For a glorious day--Seaport Village is the place to go!

Pros: Beautiful oceanside atmosphere for dining and shopping

Cons: none--we stay in the gaslamp area

Though my family and I live in San Diego, whenever I want to feel as if I am away from it all ( a mental vacation), we go down to Seaport Village. From the live music playing in the gazebos, to the water front walkway
you can relax , watch the seagulls, fly a kite, eat an ice cream cone , get an animal balloon and watch all of the boats go by. Seaport makes for a refreshing change of pace from our everyday lives.

I am a lifetime NYer but have had the privilege of spending time in Seaport Village a number of times. I love the relaxed atmosphere, wonderful shops and excellent places to dine. My whole family, from children to senior citizens loved the ability to spread out and explore all within the safe confines of Seaport Village. I would highly recommend it.

I first went to San Diego with my fiance two years ago and we stayed at the Manchester Grand. If you walk out the back and down the stairs, you're transported to a quaint little area where people can be seen strolling around just taking in the view (and perhaps a Ben n Jerry's ice cream cone or two!).

There are a variety of shops and restaurants there (some of which boast the best lobster bisque I've ever had! (and I don't even like sea food!)). Its a great place to buy anything, from touristy stuff to beautiful silver pieces, or even stop by the Harley store over there!

If you're not in the mood to sit down and eat at one of the restaurants along the marina (to which I say, you're missing out!), you can go to the food court area and pick from a variety of small vendors.

I also think it's great that Seaport Village has a map you can print out to help you locate certain shops, and if you sign up for their newsletter you even get coupons for some of the shops there.

It's definitely a nice way to spent the day if you're not interested in the hustle and bustle of the Gaslamp District. Even if you don't want to spend too much time there, an hour or two of your time will let you take in a lot of what it has to offer!

Parking is usually not an issue, and you get free parking for a few hours with validation from the shops or restaurants!

Hmm, where to begin!
Seaport village is spectacular!
The view, shops, people, everything is just awesome!
Even the seagulls can make you smile!
Dinner and a little walk makes for an amazing night!
I would recommend that everyone who gets a chance goes at least once!

I've been going to Seaport Village since I was a very small child and it has always held a special place in my heart. I always looked forward to the candy store near the gazebo, where we'd get candy apples or fudge (or both) and dance to the music outside, then pop into the toy store next door. As an adult I still love the candy store (I got baby shower party favors there and they were a big success), plus the bookstore/coffee shop and salads from the Greek place. Seaport Village is also a nice spot to bring a picnic and sit under a tree overlooking the bay. Our family loves it!

When you see Margarita's Kitchen, you kind of think it wouldn't really be any good. I tried it out one time because I wanted to taste their frozen margaritas. The margs were DELICIOUS, and were pretty big for only $4-5. I ordered their Super Nachos with carne asada, and was surprised by how tasty it was. And they have really good hot sauce, which is the deal breaker for me. So all in all, four stars, because of taste and because of the margarita. Would've been five if it was a little cheaper.

The sandwiches here are very good. Their rye bread is my favorite! It is a little pricey for just a sandwich though. It's nice to sit outside and enjoy the weather and eat from the deli!

What a great place to eat, right by the water and the atmosphere is so fun. They serve breakfast and lunch so you can spend the whole day and shop. You can get a sandwich either hot or cold and eat light at the full salad bar.

I love visiting Seaport Village. It's a beautiful place to see the harbor, and do a little shopping and eat at a nice restaurant. Some of the shops are unique, touristy, but it's a fun place to hang out for an afternoon. It's close to the trolley also,so you don't even have to fight for parking.

I like bringing my visiting friends here because it is a very touristy place but very nice right on the water - mostly it is a bunch of little stores and boutiques, a book store, and a nice place to have a cup of coffee or an ice cream. A stroll around Seaport Village is a must for the pretty views.

If you drive down Hwy 5 from Los Angeles towards Mexico, you will see this waterfront landmark on your right hand side about the same time you pass Sea World. There is something different about shopping and dining over the water as you smell the scent of ocean. Even a fastfood tastes better looking over the ocean.

Seaport Village is a fun place to spend the day shopping and browsing while you enjoy the beautiful ocean views. The buildings here are quaint little Victorian/seaport like architecture. There are many shops available and a lot of places to eat. Their metered parking is free on Sundays but I would suggest getting there early in the morning to get a spot.

A collection of very eclectic stores. Most of them are gift shops which carry the usual San Diego gift items (postcards, shot glasses, sunglasses, etc). There are a few exceptions to this rule such as a store called Hot Licks. They carry a huge variety of hot sauces and salsas and other spicy things. There are other exceptions as well such as the Harley Shop, and a year round Christmas Shop.

Come dine, shop, or just get away from it all at Seaport Village. San Diego's relaxing bay-front marketplace. This is a great place to visit when you're in San Diego area. It features all kinds of shops and restaurant over look ponds and lagoons. It's very romantic during the sunset and considered to be one of the most photograped location in San Diego.

I personally love this shopping center Maybe because it reminds me of my childhood days going to the magic shop and picking out that one special item I just longed for. It's located right next to the beach which gives it a breeze at almost anytime. With the fast pace world of today, its nice to have something that can have such a calm and relaxing effect.

I always love when I can start and end my day in San Diego at Seaport Village. It is such a nice place and so calming on the ocean front. Mornings and evening people are at a slower place there, holding hands, etc. It has shops, restaurants, seabirds and on summer night the weather is wonderful. You can take a Horse driven coach ride for that bit of romance (or for the kids, for the fun of it). Some of the Hotels will give you discount books to certain shops there which is nice. Your morning coffee there is great, you get to watch the firemen jogging. It is walking distance to GASLAMP District where there are loads of fine restaurants.

PROS: The Firemen jogging, atmosphere, sea breeze, everything
CONS: I have never had a bad experience there in all these years.

This place is SO cute. There are small shops to browse in, grab a coffee or a cotton candy and walk around the village and the water. They do a boat show out there every Christmas. Or go in a ride in a horse pulled carriage. Very romantic. There is a lot a hotel that has a bar on the top story overlooking the water near the village.
