Food here is good only for non indians/non punjabi people who rarely eat or know about north indian Punjabi recipes. I had been to this restaurant few times being living in the neighborhood and concluded that they lack the taste in their food as well as service especially since present owner bought it. Lately had a horrible experience again when all food (main course) ordered did not come at a time, and by the time(after 10 min) naan/bread/yogurt served everything was cold. They do not have norms in serving liquor, same drink taste different each time based on how much of soda/water added to the drink. I had a fish and a lamb recipe and both were missing basic preparation of indian herbs and masala. When I contacted owner Balbir Singh next day to give feed back, his response was cold, least interested, unprofessional and he repeated one sentence again n again 'we never get any complaints' and was not anxious to find or know anything. I could understand from his approach that he is just interested in making money and has no value for service. They get enough business from local indian weddings or other parties or non Indian and non punjabi people who do not know real food taste/preparation or do not care when one is inviting large number of people.Same owner has another branch 'Gandhi' which is near disneyland and its the same story there. Most of their cooks and employees are illegal immigrants like other small businesses who do not have basic education or training in doing their work, hence quality n customer service is missing. When they use main dining sitting area for private parties, walkin customers are directed to another dining room where they do not have any music source and then service and food provided is awful. I will not go to their 3 restaurants and will not recommend to anyone. thanks....have a good day...

I have eaten at every Indian restaurant in North Orange County and a large number of Indian restaurants in California and throughout the nation. Tandoor Cuisine of India ranks with the best of them in my book and is the best in North Orange County. In most Indian restaurants, I'd order my food prepared spicy, but here I order it medium to achieve the same result. The food at some Indian restaurants is just plain bland unless you order it spicy, and then it is just hot but still tasteless. Not here! You will find the food full of flavor, even if you order it mild. They also have a wonderful lunch buffet. The restaurant has a full bar. The wine selection is limited, but their wine offerings are quite good, by the glass or by the bottle. Indian beers are also available. As with most Indian restaurants, they are open late every evening. But unlike many others, they are open 7 days, including Mondays. As of this writing, they have the same owners as the Taal Restaurant in Fullerton which also serves excellent quality Indian food.

Pros: Excellent food, open late, open 7 days, plenty of parking, never a wait.

Cons: Occasionally closed for large private party on late Friday or Saturday evenings.

The food is really well prepared and flavorful. This restaurant has been at the same location for more than 15yrs and is definitely some of the best Indian food in OC.

You can't go wrong by visiting this truly special Indian restaurant. The food is served fresh and hot cooked only after receiving your order. Indian cuisine uses spices to the fullest to please the palate and Tandoor Cuisine is no exception using only the finest balance between spice and heat to offer some of the best Indain cuisine I have tasted throughout the LA/OC area in years. Tandoor Cuisine serves most of the traditional dishes you would excpect like chicken tikka, lamb vindaloo, and vegetable korma but with the utmost flavor. Do your self a favor and visit them after 5pm for dinner.
