Ok-we've purchased a few items in the past from Becks. last year a dinette set-turned out to be a nightmare then, should have known better than to give them a second chance with a couch and loveseat set last week. Paid cash over $1700 for this set. did not delliver correct color-tried to say it was what we ordered-well I know what the He$%ll I ordered and it wasnt that! so off to the store I had to go after no return phone call to my messages I left. Salesperson "shelly and her manager-"abdul" were defensive and inept completely. salesperson went home in tears after we yelled at them and manager only talked a bunch of smak! now we have to wait unitl tomorrow-another day!-for our couch set..better be the right color/style or they are going to get sued! i have had it with Becks..do yourself a favor and go to nature wood or anywhere else but his crackhead haven of a store!

We had a great experience with Beck's! Tons of stuff to look at and get ideas. Our salesperson was outstanding! He didn't push and kept his distance but when we needed answers he was right there. We actually shopped twice and purchased a bedroom set and mattress on the second trip. Checked all around. Beck's has the best selection and best prices in town. They have been around forever we have family that has purchased and they recommended we go there. So glad we did. We will be back.

We bought a 3 pc Cal King mattress set on Feb 19 2011. When it arrived, 10pm it was not the one we ordered. On top of all that it started falling apart, sinking in on both sides within weeks. It was over $1400.00 bed. I don't if you heard of their "cross check account" it's a kinda special finance they have. They have you write 4 checks for the same price, and every 31 days they cash one. After the 4th month you have paid off the bed. Well after I complained about the bed, the cashed the checks too soon and over drew my account. Two wammies. I am still fighting

Becks furniture doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating. They have the worst customer service in the world! Their return policy sucks ass. Their in store financing is a joke at like 75%. They sell $hitty low end garbage. Do NOT buy a mattress from them EVER! I repeat, EVER. I had to have 3 separate mattresses delivered to me on 3 different occasions. All fell apart within 2 weeks. Yes, 2 weeks, with a mattress that was guaranteed 10 year warranty. I am just now 5 months later getting my money back, but for the mattress only. They will not refund the effing box springs, or give me my delivery fee of $89 back. I bought it as a set, wtf am I going to do with the box springs? They never answer the Cust Serv phone and send you to voice mail constantly. I am filing a complaint with Kurtis, Curtis, whomever and the Better Business Bureau. Seriously people, go shop some where else.

I would not recoomend Beck's to NO ONE! I went 2 becks b/c of the name. I thought they were a reputable company.They have terrible cust serv. The Cust serv manager Laura is a real WITCH! I made a large purchase to furnish 2 bdrms, and I have to return it ALL. Mysons bunk bed had 2 b returned b/c the wood was warped. It took them a month 2 corr the problem, and then my bed broke a month after having it. They are giving me a hassle to return their faulty furniture. I've left several messages for upper mang to call me in regards to this issuse, but to no avail. I would not recomm that you or anybody u no buy anything from them unless u want 2 b disappinted. DOWN with becks!!! Like everybody else I never received any grocery refunds! I will NEVER spend any $ with them ever again. O stars for becks.

We will never buy anything from Beck's again!

We went to Beck's in early October and purchased a two-piece sectional and a glider to help rock our new babies. The salesman was arrogant and unprofessional but we liked the furniture and bought it anyway. The glider was temporarily out of stock and we were told it would be available at the end of October. When we called at the end of October, we were told the end of November. This continued all the way until February, with nobody from Beck's ever calling us to let us know of the delays. Finally, we went in the store to cancel the order and ask for our money back. They refused to do so because the glider was now in stock (apparently nobody ever planned on calling us to schedule a delivery). To add insult to the matter, they were running a promotion for a free ottoman with the purchase of the sectional that we had bought. But they would not honor the deal for us because we had made the purchase before the promotion began. The glider came today - four months late with no discount or apology.

I researched the owner as I thought he would like to know what horrible customer service his employees provide only to find out that he is a twice convicted sex offender. This scumbag slept with his best friend's under age daughter. If I had known this, we would have never done business with them in the first place.

Guess what, I've spent $300 in groceries and have received not one card back. I sent 2 submissions to the processing company that went out of business and one to the new company that was returned with no forwarding address! BEWARE if the deciding factor on your purchase from Becks is the Grocery Rebate incentive!!!! My experience is you will not receive the $500.00/$600.00 in grocery rebates.

We purchased our furniture last spring. The 1st rebate company went out of business and the 2nd rebate company, My Free Travel, is not honoring anymore rebates. Apparently they have a "shortage of funds" as posted on http://www.groceryrebate.net/.

If you are comparing prices between Becks and another furniture store, DO NOT let this rebate incentive persuade you to purchase at Becks. You will not receive the grocery rebate.

The $500 gas card promotion is a scam. Called Beck's a dozen times to find out why I'm not receiving my cards and have gotten the run around for months. Finally I did some research on-line on the company was seized by the Florida Attorney General. Now why couldn't Beck's have done a quick Internet search to find the truth? Still waiting for Beck's to tell me how they will resolve the problem. Now they are offering free $500 groceries? Is this the next scam, did they do any homework on this company? 1. customer service dept:
They do try to help the customers as much as they can and only have the authorization to do certain things. So when an issue gets out of hand because a customer starts demanding things because they want some sort of better service at the cheapest furniture store in town, they have to go through their manager who is in a lack of words, a total b**ch. Their customer service department was built solely to handle issues with the furniture that has arrived in peoples houses. And they deal so much with angry, irate customers who don't want to understand how much they are helping, so yeah, they may have become a little callused. They will tell you how it is and how they can help you but if you get crazy with them it definitely does not help the situation.
2. Sales dept. :
SALES DOES NOT TELL YOU EVERYTHING BECAUSE THEY WANT TO MAKE A SALE!!! They will help you as best as they can, but when your looking at something thats not in stock, they should probably tell you that that is just that date the computer tells them, and it is subject to move back. happens all the time!! and believe it or not, but its not their fault. The main reason you are getting the furniture at such a great price is because its comming from over seas. and when there are delays of materials in that country for whatever reason (hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, holidays) its going to come a little later then you expected. employees constantly check the status so you are definitely not forgotten.
3. deliveries:
unless you are picking up a nightstand or you have a big strong man at home that enjoys building furniture, PAY FOR DEL! trust me its worth it... they build it for you, and set it up in the house for you. you don't have to lift a finger or worry about missing hardware. plus if you have any issues with the merchandise and need to return it, they will go back out there to exchange it or pick it up.

I bought my bedroom set from Becks and the 110 lbs, 5'2 tall delivery guy cannot get it throught my stairs. I called the customer service to complain and landed on Stacy, that's my worst day..she was rude, unprofessional. You just feel like they are doing everything in their power to get the store get into some type of bankcrupcy. Those people don't want to sell, they care less about customers; finally, I have to return the items and go get them at "One Stop Furniture" (916-927-1847). With exactly same items, they did not have any problem getting them TV memoire, drawer through my stairs... I was not even home when the deliver and set it up (please call them in case you don't believe me...my name is Boga )
I am a Becks customer since 1998, but the service (customers) I got from you this past weeks (01/10 /2008) was the worst. Especially during this time when the economy of the country is not in good shape. You need to re-train your customer service agents and get delivery guys with at least 5'10 180lbs.

I bought a whole living room and bedroom set & am very pleased. The couch we bought had a scratch on it when we unwrapped it, so that was a bit disappointing....everything can't always be perfect. Our bedroom set is very beautiful. I really like the quality of their products and they have really great financing options if you need it. Unfortunately I ordered a comforter set and it took a month to come in and the sales guy told me 10-14 days! Overall I think they are better than many other furniture stores.

I bought a sofa, and of course the sales staff were courteous. We picked it up, and when we got it home we discovered that a cushion had a wrinkle, and it was the wrong color! I called customer service, tried to explain the problem, but Tina would hardly let me finish a sentence - she just kept saying if I didn'/t like it I would have to bring it back for a different one. I tried to explain the issue was not that I didn't like it but that it was not the color I had chosen, and it had a defect. Her response to me was, and I quote "so what, if you don't like it you have to bring it back". I asked to speak to a manager and she said to me "you can't". I then asked to speak to anyone else, and then she said a manager would be in about 10:00. Suffice it to say, I could not wait to end this insulting conversation, and I said I would call back at 10:00. When I called back at 10:00 I was sent to Laura 's (customer service manager) voicemail. I have been trying for 6 days now, to have a conversation with a manager, and no one has responded. I finally received a call from a receptionist who was told to call me to set up a pick up time for them to get this sofa, and refund me (we'll see). I find it interesting and disturbing that the management will not call me, but they tell a receptionist to do it - What cowards! My experience with the sales staff at Beck's has been fine, however their customer service is severely lacking. If I did my job the way they are doing theirs I certainly would not be employed for very long.

They were dishonest regarding when the item we purchased was going to be delivered. We told them we would not buy the product if it was going to be more than 4-5 weeks. They really do not care about the customers after the item is already paid for. I would never recomend them. I am using lawn furnitue as livingroom seats.

I walked into Becks in Rancho Cordova and the sales person Tammy was so very helpful and nice. I got just what I wanted and it was delivered on time. I love my sofa and plan on going back for a bedroom set and dining room set when my budget allows. You can be sure I am going to ask for Tammy!

I purchased defective furniture from Becks and trying to get them to take care of the problem has been the worst display of customer service I have ever experienced as a consumer. They are rude and have no concerns about customer satisfaction. I sent a letter to Todd Paxton the VP and still no response, the problem comes from the top management. Be wise and don't shop at Becks for anything. This place has the worst customer service ever. If you don't want a bad experience, dont shop at Becks.

I saw an ad for a certain dining room set in their splashy full page promotions, but they never seem to have the sale item.

The first time I saw it, I called to inquire about matching pieces, however, they claimed they didn't have the set because the ad stated it was a "clearance sale" and it was gone.

A week later, they ran an ad for the same dining room set, but this time they threw in the hutch and 2 arm chairs for a total price of $1295. The ad did not say "clearance sale", so I went out to the store to look at the set. Again, it was a case of not having this hugely advertised item. The funny part was watching the salespeople back away from any questions about the set. I guess they knew it was a scam to build store traffic or to switch the customer to a different [and more expensive set] and didn't want to have anything to do with it.

Advice: Call first & confirm, and then get a first and last name of the salesperson before you go out. Ask how many sets they have on hand or can it be ordered.

I have been attempting since 2/2006 to have a repair rep out to look at furniture that has fallen apart in less than a 6 month period. I am so angry at Becks service that I will personally NEVER buy another item from BECKS ... I will also be sure to tell all acquaintances and family members to not purchase anything else as well. My brother-in-law recently bought new furniture for his B&B because we recommended Becks, our daughter purchased living room furniture from Becks and she is also unhappy with the sofa that she received. ... same problem...falling apart and no customer service response, friends from the San Francisco Bay area came up and purchased items also. I am truly sorry that I will not deal with you again, nor will any of my family members or friends due to the lack of customer service. The names of the Customer service reps that I have dealt with are Nicole, Erin, Laura Franciesco,Andrew Taylor, Theresa, Davida. We had paid extra for extended warranties, however this team could not even handle the short term problems. I am totally upset with Beck's Customer service and think that you should take a good look at your services before you loose more business to ignorance of employees.

What Beck's has going for it are low prices and a huge selection. Their items generally aren't going to last forever, but if you're looking for 5-10 year pieces then Beck's is a great place to look. Sales staff can be overbearing if you just want to browse -- seems like there is one lurking around every hutch or armoire waiting to get a sale. And speaking of sales, they offer terrific ones! No need to pay full price for anything in the store -- if it's not on sale today, it will be tomorrow. They also offer a big selection of clearance items in the back of the store. Beware of lower-end couches and chairs though as the fabric is often not water resistant and even spilling water will result in a stain.

My husband and I were drawn to the cheaper prices here than at some other furniture stores in the are. You make a sacrifice in service for sure. We went in to buy a dining room table and after waiting almost an hour for some manager approval on something, we left without buying anything.

Great prices on their inventory - which is HUGE! The service staff was exceptional for us... we looked at about 15 different couches seriously before finally deciding on the one we purchased. The saleswoman was patient and helped with measuring and pricing for over an hour.

We had a great experience with Beck's! Tons of stuff to look at and get ideas. Our salesperson was outstanding! He didn't push and kept his distance but when we needed answers he was right there. When we speak with people in the department they are so short with us and not helpful at all. I purchased six dining room chairs from BECKS in Rancho Cordova on 8-28-08. I wanted leather chairs and the salesperson represented to me that the chairs were leather. When I got home I looked closely at the receipt (which was hard to read) and discovered that the chairs were in fact vinyl. My husband returned them to Becks the following day unopened and still in their original boxes. He was told by Tina in Customer Service that there would be a 10% restocking fee. He called me and I spoke to Tina on the phone and explained to her that their salesperson had misrepresented to me that the chairs were leather and I didn't believe we should be charged a restocking fee. She couldn't have been more rude and just kept saying over and over that that was their policy. I will never step foot in a Becks store again and recommend that you don't either. Tina in Customer Service was rude and unprofessional and if she worked for me she would be fired.

I purchased six dining room chairs from BECKS in Rancho Cordova on 8-28-08. I wanted leather chairs and the salesperson represented to me that the chairs were leather. When I got home I looked closely at the receipt (which was hard to read) and discovered that the chairs were in fact vinyl. My husband returned them to Becks the following day unopened and still in their original boxes. He was told by Tina in Customer Service that there would be a 10% restocking fee. He called me and I spoke to Tina on the phone and explained to her that their salesperson had misrepresented to me that the chairs were leather and I didn't believe we should be charged a restocking fee. She couldn't have been more rude and just kept saying over and over that that was their policy. I will never step foot in a Becks store again and recommend that you don't either. I bought a recliner sofa 5 yrs. ago and it looks as good today as the day I brought it home. It has never given me a moment's trouble. I went back this year and bought a new microsuede cream-colored sofa for my living room, and couldn't be more pleased with it. People who see it can't believe I paid so little for it. It's comfortable, and looks like a designer piece. Customer service couldn't have been more helpful, and kept it in storage for me two months until I could get moved. I have nothing but praise for them. Of course, there are ""cheap"" things there, but there are treasures also. I will go back soon to get a dining room table.

I bought some bedroom furniture for a master bedroom and 2 other rooms. Within 2 months, the master furniture started falling apart. The design of the box spring support was poorly made. After having Becks replace the parts, the supports collapsed again. I ended up making my own custom support for the bed. The Armoire also had issues with the rollers that hold the door closed. These broke in the first 3 months too. Becks replaced the rollers 3-4 times. Cheap design again... One of the beds for the kid's room broke after 1 1/2 years. Becks told me the furniture was made from Soft pine, not hard pine so the screw broke through the soft pine support. What kind of explanation is that? Since it was out of warranty, Becks would not fix the main support for the bed.\r\n\r\nNot learning from my previous experience and shopping for bunk beds, I again went to Becks. The Sales person sold me a under drawer that was not compatible with my set. I guess they work on commission... On delivery, they also forgot about the mattress for the beds... horrible.\r\n\r\nI guess I did learn after all. I just purchased living room furniture from Lazy Boy, not Becks!\r\n\r\nI hope your luck with Becks is better than mine...\r\n
