The staff is rude, the manager even more so. My sister made an appointment for me to do a spa package, but I canceled the appointment 48 hours prior. She then received her credit card statement charging her for the spa package. When I called to tell them I had canceled the appointment and they should not have charged my sister's credit card, the rude receptionist informed me that it was a non-refundable "gift certificate." However, in my sister's understanding, she was not going to be charged for the spa package unless I showed up to fulfill the appointment. We then spoke with the manager, who also insisted it was an alleged "gift certificate" and would not credit the money back. Had they been more sympathetic and tried to work with us on this matter, perhaps my sister or I would have then used the dollar amount charged to her by taking advantage of their services. But I was so turned off by their poor customer service and lack of sympathy that I refuse to step through their door.

My husband gave me a Valentines day spa gift certificate and it was a wonderful treat. The moment we walked in the door we fell in love with the place. The oils and the lotions give it a wonderful peaceful aroma. We enjoyed a bath for two and a massage for two. The massage therapist were wonderful. We could barely walk we were so relaxed so we sat in the relaxation room and enjoyed the peace and quiet in their really comfortable chairs. Everything was wonderful. We will definitely be returning shortly!

I have been a client of the spa for more than 2 years.
I've always had my waxing here.
I was looking for a treatment for my body before vacation and I knew seaweed wrap was good. I made a reservation. The esthetician recommended me a body exfoliation before wrap and I got it. She brushed my body with some kind of loofah and then she scubbed me with a special salt she mixed with lemon oil. After that she massaged in my skin carrot oil. I was then wrapped in seaweed. My skin looked beautiful and I felt so good!!!

I am a stay at home mom and I very rarely take time for myself and am often stressed out, so when I got a gift certificate, I was excited. What I was most excited about is that I didn't have to travel to Palo Alto because I only have a few hours when both my kids are in school, so if I had to factor in travel time, I'd be stressed out right after getting off the table! The staff isn't the most friendly, but as a novice spa goer, that's what I expect, part of the mystique. I would hope that if you are a regular, they are a little warmer. The massage itself was wonderful and wish I could go more often.

It has a nice ambiance. The room you wait in before you receive treatment is a little small, but relaxing. I liked the massage I received. My massage therapist was really thorough. I also receive reflexology, which I do not recommend. The pricing is very reasonable. The front staff are not so friendly.

The moment I walked in the Spa I felt relaxed. It's a nice atmosphere all around. The music played during my massage and facial was very shooting. The therapists were very friendly and experienced. The esthetician made me fall asleep just by her calming voice and hands. Really nice. I will definitely go back for more of their excellent services and nice surroundings.

I got a gift certificate for a massage from my friend for Sandra Caron Spa. I loved the ambiance, very nice atmosphere, but most of all i liked a massage given by Alex. I have tendinitis in my shoulder and some back problems, he was great in helping relieving a lot of discomfort. They have plenty of parking and i did not have to travel a lot. Prices there are resonable, i will deffinately go back.

A day at Sandra Caron European Spa is a day in heaven. I went on Sunday with my husband for their monthly special (Satin Smooth Spa) and we felt like walking on clouds after the treatments. The package included an aromatherapy massage, a refreshing facial, a hand treatment and a milk whey bath. The Spa has an amazing friendly and professional staff. From the moment we entered the Spa we felt in love with the scent of the oils, candles and lotions. Before the massage we had a choice of several aromatherapy oils. The massage was the most relaxing massage we have ever had. We also loved the music that they played during the massage. After the massage we had a chance to relax in the comfortable lounges of the relaxation room. Everything was perfect. Very clean and we left with a very good feeling. We cannot wait to go to spend more time with the pleasant atmosphere created by the surroundings and the professional staff at Sandra Caron European Spa.

I had a steam session followed by a mud bath and a deep tissue massage. After treatments I took a nap for about half hour on an unusual shape bed in the relaxation lounge. I have never felt so relaxed. Good facility with a relaxing ambiance.

I was having some tension in my lower back and a friend recommended I go into Sandra Caron Spa in San Mateo. I must say, I was a bit reluctant Ive tried massages before in Calistoga, Hawaii, San Francisco, and other places but was never totally satisfied.
I finally broke down and made a 30 min appointment. I figured what the hell its just 30 minutes out of my busy life. When I arrived, I pleasantly surprised. The staff was very nice and courteous, spa is extremely clean and those chairs in the relaxation room When the message therapist, who happened to be a very funny Russian guy, came out to get he asked a lot more questions then just where does it hurt and what do you do. He explained to me that just because it hurts where it hurts, thats not necessarily the source of a problem. In addition, he mentioned that 30 minutes are really a waist of money since there is no way to work on a problem in such a short period of time. To make a long story short, after an hour of the best deep tissue massage Ive ever had and a nap in those chairs, I felt like a brand new person. Alex, thats his name, also recommended a few exercises and stretches that I use on daily bases to prevent further discomfort.
If you had a 100 massages or never had 1, Id strongly suggested you make an appointment!

I had a hot stone massage yesterday. The technique used was unique. I felt super relaxed after the massage. But before the massage I took a mud bath which really help me to warm up my muscles. I also enjoyed the steam and the comfortable beds they have in the relaxation room which are included in the price. Very friendly staff. I found the Spa to be a really nice place.
