The only thing we didn't like here was their Calamari Fritti appetizer...but everything else was spectacular! We ordered a Caesar salad, a cup of Potato Leek soup, the Fettuccine Abruzzi (prawns, chicken and sausage in a garlic and white wine sauce) and the Italian Sausage (Fettuccine with sun-dried tomatoes and a creamy meat sauce).

We would definitely order both of these dishes again and appreciated the fact that all pasta is homemade at Stephen's (except for the Penne and gnocchi.)

UPDATE 7/11/09 - They took the Calamari Fritti appetizer off their menu! :) Caesar salads weren't that good, but the Fettuccine Abruzzi and Salmon entrees were delicious. Tall, young male server is excellent, but beware of the female employee who'll tell you that soft drinks don't count towards the Restaurant.com minimum purchase.

UPDATE 9/13/09 - The Salmon portion sure did shrink, but they increased the pureed squash portion. Still very delicious, but the salmon I ate tonight was a pretty thin filet, compared to the juicy slab I got last time. The tomato basil soup was very watery; wouldn't order that again.

This would have been a 5-star experience had the Calamari Fritti appetizer passed our taste test. Although the calamari itself was tender, the breading they used was so coarse and soggy it made the entire dish fail. The French bread they brought out in a basket was deceiving...it didn't look like it would be good at all, but it was warm and heavenly! Lightly extra crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and deliciously paired with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar dipping sauce we concocted ourselves at the table.

DH thoroughly enjoyed his Caesar Side Salad and my cup of Potato Leek soup was fabulous. Both entrees we ordered were excellent, the Fettuccine Abruzzi (prawns, chicken and sausage in a garlic and white wine sauce) and the Italian Sausage (Fettuccine with sun-dried tomatoes and a creamy meat sauce). We would definitely order both of these dishes again and appreciated the fact that all pasta is homemade at Stephen's except for the Penne and gnocchi. Next time, we're skipping the appetizer...I couldn't even finish half my meal! Well, at least I know I have a delicious leftover for lunch tomorrow. :)

Pros: French Bread, Fettucine Abruzzi, Italian Sausage Fettucine

Cons: Calamari Fritti

I've been here a couple times for lunch, and both times I was very pleased. The place isn't that big, its very casual and the prices are decent. The food is fresh and the staff are really laid back and nice. My first meal was gnocchi with pesto cream sauce (make-your-own-pasta). It came with garlic bread, for under $8. Can't beat that!

I've just discovered this place. They make the pasta fresh on site. The taste is excellent. I nice change from all the coporate pasta restaurants.
