This place been in business for awhile and it's good. I love how their Chicken Udon noodles taste because it's flavorful and tasty. The soup base is not salty as compare to other restaurant because the flavor is balance. I like the rolls, It's very unique and I get to watch how they roll the rolls on the bar side. The services is great, and they're very friendly at the place. I notice they have a lot of return customers that knows each name very well, which mean the place must be good. It's pretty much a place that every body knows your name!

I've been here a few times and each trip forget how much I like their food. If you like spicy rolls, this is the place! Their spicy tuna and really spicy anything is killer hot, tastes sooooo good! Great sake, staff was super slow and annoying when we were there. But the food was worth it and we all had a great time. Willl definitely be back for more.

I've been going to this place for 3 years and finally they've remodeled it. All I can say is wow!!! Me and my boy friend loves this play sonny and eric are still serving up the best rolls in the Marina. Anyways everthing looks a lot more inviting and yeah looks like that have more staff but yeah I dont really notice it I'm too busy getting loaded with eric and sonny. Hmmm maybe I should remove this review ha ha ha because I get some one on one attention with my chefs I dont want too many people crowding up my space ha ha ha just kidding great place to have sushi a must see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Great service, fun chefs, and great music of course as always by the way try the kits roll and eric special wow!!!!

Cons: Tough to find parking but worth your while

The quality of the sushi was average, really nothing to write home about. The rolls are very sweet, so I presume all these raves about the sushi is for the average American who doesn't appreciate the quality of sashimi. The sauces on the rolls totally covered up the flavor of the fish. Everything with "crab" ended up being the fake pollack imitation stuff, from the salad to the rolls. Very disappointed, but if you're not a sushi connoiseur, then this place will be just fine. Also very hard to find parking.

Being disappointed with the sushi options in North Beach where we live, my bf and I decided to try Marina Sushi Bar after reading the citysearch reviews. It was awesome. The salmon sashimi melts in your mouth. The seaweed salad was also excellent. The spicy tuna roll was very good but probably the spiciest I've had. We topped it off with the fried banana/green tea ice cream dessert, which was a wonderful way to end a good meal. The pricing was very reasonable, and the wait staff were very friendly. It's clearly a place that has some regulars and has a neighborhood feel - while we were there one of the sushi chefs was chatting with a couple of the customers who he obviously knew. I'm sure we'll be back.

Pros: food, sushi chefs

The best sushi in SF. The fish is always fresh and the specialty rolls are to die for. Once I introduce people to Marina sushi they are hooked.

The ambiance is great for a romantic date or a lively group. They wait staff and sushi chefs Eric and Sunny are awesome. They always remember you.

Marina Sushi has some of the most creative, fresh and innovative creations in San Francisco. Without a doubt the 'hidden jewel' of sushi bars. Awesome place for intimate dining, as well as a fun venue for large groups.

Marina Sushi is simply amazing! The staff are very friendly and warm and the sushi is the best. The specialty rolls are delicious - the 49er and spicy special are my favorites though everything is excellent - if you are eating at any other sushi restaurant in the city, you are missing out!

Pros: Special Rolls, Fresh Fish, Friendly staff

Better sushi than Ace Wasabi, without the blaring noise of Mas Sake, friendly sushi chefs, and top-quality sushi. The speciality rolls are awesome (try the Eric's Delight), it never gets too packed, and you can carry on a conversation without having to raise your voice.

This marina sushi hang out is hands down the best sushi I've ever had. The sushi is unique and always fresh...highly recommend the 49er roll!

I just revisited a favorite sushi bar of mine in New York - Blue Ribbon Sushi and laid down the gauntlet for best sushi in my two favorite cities.

Marina sushi has Kit's roll, 49er roll, and amazing Unagi. Blue Ribbon has sake, tremendous service (Marina's is very good as well), and a nice laid back environment which is a rarity in NYC.

My comparison - I love both - but since I live in SF - Marina has my vote :)

No matter if you are going for sushi, sake, or ambience, Marina Sushi is the best. Mas Sake takes all of the pretentious Marina look-a-likes so all you get at Marina Sushi is cool people and great sushi...a must for any serious sushi student.

OMYGOD! I can't believe this place wasn't already on the list! It is never crowed in there and we always go out of our way when travelling-even once 5 hours out of the way from Benecia to eat here. The menu is long but these guys can handle it. #154 is my favorite and I once asked the sushi chef to marry my daughter!

Marina Sushi has awesome rolls and their sushi quality is as good as, if not better than Ace Wasabi. The place recently got remodeled and they did a nice job--new tiled flooring, purple paint, perfect lighting (dim but not dark). It's crowded on the weekends, but not ridiculously packed like Ace or Mas Sake. The sushi chefs are very friendly and they love to drink with the customers sitting at the sushi bar.

Pros: Awesome rolls, Not overly-crowded, Great sushi chefs

Marina Sushi does a pretty good job. Not the best sushi in the city, but some of the best in the Marina. Sonny is extremely friendly and fun to sit with at the sushi bar. Most of the rolls concentrate on flavor and sometimes overlook the fish. Some of the items are a little overpriced.
