.

Mr Burnsed installed tile in 2 upstairs bathrooms as well as the kitchen and laundry room downstairs for a total of 350 square feet. Overall the results were good and his fee very reasonable, however he is definitely not a perfectionist. There were several places where the tile cuts were unveven in very visible areas, and certainly in all the less-visible areas (behind doors, etc) His assistant in charge of grouting was not good at all - there was grout everywhere (I am still cleaning it off walls, doors, etc) and many places where she missed or did not smooth it properly. The worst issue was that when the job ran over schedule (by one day) he laid a number of edge tiles in mortar and then grouted them the same day before the mortar was dry. Of course some of the mortar oozed up and is visible. Even with all these issues the tile does look good, but I can't recommend him because he is willing to cut corners and also caused a significant amount of damage to our carpet, nicked walls, and dripped mortar and grout all over our cement patios. Most of this is cleanable but more work for us!

PROS: Inexpensive, overall tile looks good
CONS: Messy and some imperfections in tile and grout
