My 3 children attended to Clare Cherry School 2 years ago, and I decided to change them from another school because the academics were very low, and most of the time the children were playing instead of learning.

My daughter has been a student at Clare Cherry for the past three years, and loves it. She is currently above grade level in her academics and has had many wonderful learning experiences(field trips, cultural events). Clare Cherry offers Spanish, music and PE classes weekly to their students, which you don't find in public schools. We are very happy with the education that she has received and the teachers and staff are the best. They are caring, friendly and are there to help your child be the best they can be.

I looked all over San Bernardino to find a great school for my son, because dropping your young children off at a daycare is the hardest thing for a working mom to do. He loves going to school and looks forward to learning. He knows his ABC's by sight and he knows there sounds. He can count to 40 and he knows his colors and shapes. He is now just turning 4 years old and I have been told this is what the kids coming out of kindergarten are to know.
When I drop him off he is happy to see his teachers and friends and when I return he tells me about all the books they read and the songs they learned. Some of the staff have been there for over 25 years. I feel great leaving my son in there care.
We love Clare Cherry School.

After having identical twins, my spouse and I wanted for their world experience to be as individual as possible. After researching, visiting, and discussing countless schools from Redlands to Rancho Cucamonga, we decided that there was one that stood out- Clare Cherry. Do not let the facade fool you; old and worn the energy that exudes from it is palpable. Our children, from day one, were nurtured for their individual traits even though they have always been in the same class. The heart of the school shines on every child's face as they enter- what exciting possibilities await them! After having a third child, our family has become even more a part of the Clare Cherry family. From behind-the-scenes, we have witnessed the dedication of staff, teachers, aides and other parents alike. Children are engaged, active, compassionate, and loved throughout their day. The goal of Clare Cherry, as should be the case with all learning institutions, is to empower the learner through education. Stop by for a visit.

My daughter has been going to Clare Cherry since she was a toddler and she has enjoyed her experience immensely. She is currently a third grader who reads above grade level, is always excited about going to school and loves the teachers, staff and classmates at the school. Although tuition is higher than at other schools, Clare Cherry provides one of the best educational environments in the Inland Empire. And that's why my daughter continues to be part of the Clare Cherry family.

My daughters love Clare Cherry School. They are involved in ART, MUSIC, SPANISH CLASSES, and DANCE. This is offered along with CA State Standards curriculum. The kindness and caring that is part of the Clare Cherry School family has made it a wonderful place for my children to learn and grow. You will not find their program in any other place! A true best kept secret in San Bernardino!

As an educator I looked at other schools before choosing Clare Cherry. I was highly impressed with this school and decided to work here twelve years ago. I knew that I would put my children no where else but at Clare Cherry. Clare Cherry's philosophy is committed to educating the whole child and offers a low child to teacher ratio (in every age classroom from 2yrs to 6th grade). I love that my daughter is treated with respect and dignity and is a part of an integrated community. All of the teachers and administrators look our for my daughter. I see the school as a partner in my parenting. What else could I ask for?

My daughter, 3, has been attending Clare Cherry since September and has grown socially and intellectually by leaps and bounds! She loves her teachers and fellow students and is always happy when she gets dropped off and picked up. Clare Cherry really fosters development through creativity: music, painting, drawing, dance, drama -- the kids get so much exposure to ALL of it. All the students know each other, regardless of age or class, and treat each other as an extended family. Appropriate social behavior is strongly addressed. Kind words, supportive action and safety are what is stressed here! And the school's elementary program is the most nurturing environment I've seen as an educator. Teachers are friendly, upbeat and one can see how much they truly care about these kids -- and not just the ones in there own classes. Everyone looks out for each other at Clare Cherry. I couldn't be happier with the experience my child is having at this fine learning establishment. Check it out for yourself!

While I appreciate the contribution Clare Cherry made to the education of young children and love the teachers at this school, I was forced to remove both my children after repeated (twice in the last six months) incidents of children being left alone. One of these incidents involved my son being left alone while eating for at least 15 minutes. I have heard from other parents of concerning incidents involving the School Board and the Principal and have lost my faith in the ability of this school to focus on providing an outstanding education for children by supporting their teachers with accountable and transparent mangement. All of the teachers my children had were outstanding, it is a pity that mangement has their head stuck in the sand.

The staff at Clare Cherry is wonderful. They are very good with the students and I know from my own child's attitude they really have made a positive difference in his life during his first year of school. The tuition is a bit pricey and it seems that there's always extra money going out here and there for field trips, but it's an experience that I know my son will never forget.Overall, I would highly recommend Clare Cherry to any parent looking for quality schooling.

Clare Cherry's was my grandson's first group care experience and he has flourished there, he is now in the first grade. I am an early childhood educator who studied with Clare so my standards are high, this school meets my standards. They have a low teacher child ratio, they have several cultural field trips a year; they just went to see the Little Mermaid. They also have an art teacher, music class, Spanish class and offer music and dance lessons. The teachers are caring and well educated and strive to meet the individual needs of the children. I would highly reccomend the school. Go visit to witness the care.

Before coming to Clare Cherry, my daughter went to another local preschool facility. She was neglected, picked on by the older children, and simply cried each and every time I had to drop her off. Within a week of transitioning to Clare Cherry, my daughter was excited to go to school in the morning and talked endlessly about how her teachers, Miss Kim and Miss Bobbie, played with her or read her a story or told her something new that she hadn't known before. But it doesn't end there. This school offers on-site dance instruction (my daughter looks forward to her Monday class with Miss Rachel and piano lessons and a variety of language instruction at the higher grade levels. I feel secure leaving my daughter in the hands of the wonderful professionals that are employed and give their hearts to the instruction of their pupils at Clare Cherry.

We love this school! Our son has been here since nursery, soon to start kinder (his 4th year!). We were very picky and kept our son at home from birth until starting Clare Cherry at 2 1/2 yrs old. Very unique, nothing else like it in San Bernardino metro area. Lots of creativity, art everyday, very small classes, very little teacher turnover. And, every family's personal heritage is welcomed, equal, and valued! Our only regret is that Clare Cherry School only goes thru 6th grade...What are we going to do after that?!

Every parent must face the challenge of finding a school that best fits the needs of their family--for me, that school has been Clare Cherry. When I first contemplated the educational choices for my two boys, no options were off the table: homeschooling, public school, private school (we looked at high and low-end tuition levels, religious and non-sectarian). I had very minimal criteria, but it was non-negotiable: wherever my kids went, the emphasis HAD to be, first and foremost, on the emotional well-being of the children. This had to be a place where their unique skills and abilities were valued, and where it would be possible to learn in a variety of ways at whatever pace was appropriate for them. Clare Cherry School has never disappointed me. My boys (one who is mildly autistic) have thrived academically and socially. We have been there for two years now and have been very happy with the teachers and the administration. Yes, the building is old, but not unsafe, and the walls are dripping with...art. The kids get to be abundantly creative, there is plenty of physical activity, and they get started in music and Spanish early on. The school has two rules: Be safe. Be kind. The children at all age levels seem to be both. I could not be more impressed with a group of kids. We are fortunate to have this school among our educational choices in San Bernardino.

My son went there and they lied to me and thier own teachers. they put him in 4 to 5 year old classroom when he had just turned 3. When i confronted the secretary she told me that there was not any room in the 3 yr old classroom so i told her that they should not have lied and if there is no room i will pull him out. the next day "by a miracle they had a spot for him". They dont clean every day. they wash blankets once a week. the adminstration (secretary and director) lie to parents. Once a boy said something to me about an incident, teacher did her job and filed a report and they never told parents about report. The 3 months my son was there they had 5 different illnesses. the bathrooms smell and there was not a janitor for a while. Teachers are great but admin doesnt care about teachers or the school how the hell ya think they care about our kids. Also, they ask for all these fundraisers and no one peeny goes to the school. Many teachers told me that they liked me being involved but others were talking behind my back for being too involved. Humm not liking that i check up on my own kid? those teachers must not have liked me cuz they weren't doing their job. I only kept my son there since i had no other day care but pulled him right out as soon as i took my last final. DONT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!!

I have heard many good things about the school. I really liked the people and the program, but I noticed the stairs to the playground are not kid safe, (they don't have handles low enough so kids can hold on to) , also at the corners of entrance door there were lots of dirt piled up, the garden was not maintained well,...the paint in the rooms needed touch up. the whole building is really old. The fact that kids play all day does not bother me at all, since I believe they learn trough playing and arts. I wish they would move to a better, newer, cleaner place. I am debating on sending my son to this school after i read the other comment regards to low supervision! he is very energetic and can get in trouble easily!

My child attends this school, and I have mixed thoughts about it. I like that he gets the social interaction, and that the teachers are extremely nice, and seem to enjoy the children, and I also like the fact that they are willing to work with you with your billing cycle however I don't think that they are monitored too closely. My son fell off the slide and had to get stitches. When the incident report was showed to me and it seemed fabricated. I also don't like that he seems to play all day when I ask him what he did he says he played, I want him to learn, that's what a school is for.

PROS: Good teachers, positive learning environment
CONS: I don't think that they are monitored enough.
